Bolton Clarion Choir at our Spanish Civil War commemoration, Manchester Central Library. Clarion choirs have roots in the old Independent Labour Party (ILP) & Clarion newspaper. ILP members from Britain were among those who fought fascism in ‘30s Spain. @IBMT_SCW @MancLibraries

Italian speakers from groups including ANPI supported our Spanish Civil War commemoration in Manchester. Italians were on both sides of the civil war. Many in the International Brigade later fought Mussolini & Hitler in Italy as partisans. @anpilondon @IBMT_SCW @Anpinazionale

Alejandro Escanciano provided songs and music at our Spanish Civil War commemoration at Manchester Central Library. Great performances and talk about the importance of events in the 1930s, solidarity between British & Spanish people, its legacy and current affairs. @IBMT_SCW

Chris Hall, a member of our group, has written a number of Spanish Civil War books. He gave the main talk at Manchester Central Library on how British volunteers helped fight for democracy & against fascism, whether going to Spain or activity at home. @IBMT_SCW @penswordbooks
