28 May 2025 | IBI International Group Chairman Mr. Ibrahim Munir, CEO Ms. Hannah Chen, and Advisor Amb. Moin ul Haque met with Mr. Rashed bin Mubarak Al-Khater, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Shanghai, and Third Secretary Mr. Salman Khalid F. Sh. Alotaibi.
They presented the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Centre (BRETC), a strategic platform to strengthen China-Qatar economic ties and business collaboration. IBI also shared its vision to expand in the GCC, expressing strong interest in partnering with Qatar in areas such as smart agriculture, healthcare, supply chain, green energy, TOT, LNG, and investment.
The Qatari side welcomed these ideas and looked forward to exploring mutually beneficial opportunities.

Moin ul Haque met with Ms. Özlem Kula, Consul General of Türkiye, Mr. Ataberk Mercan, Deputy Head of Mission, and Ms. Tuğçe Terzi, Commercial Attaché, at the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Shanghai.
They discussed strengthening business relations between China and Türkiye, particularly in bilateral trade of textiles, automobiles, high-end equipment, healthcare, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and green energy products.
Turkish enterprises were invited to establish their head offices in the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Centre (BRETC), a flagship project of IBI Group located in Changshu, Suzhou.

They discussed strengthening business relations between China and Peru, especially through cooperation in the bilateral trade of minerals, food, and agricultural products. Peruvian enterprises were invited to set up their head office in the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Centre(BRETC), a project of IBI Group located in Suzhou.

The grand opening ceremony of the Belt & Road Economic and Trade Centre (BRETC) and Suzhou IBI Group took place in #Changshu, #Suzhou, on April 14, attended by diplomatic envoys from Belt and Road Initiative (#BRI) partner nations.

On April 14, Mr. Yu Wei, Party Secretary of Changshu, met with envoys and diplomats from Belt and Road partner countries including Cameroon, Jordan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Morocco and Ghana as well as Amb. Sha Zukang, former UN Under-Secretary-General, and Mr. Ibrahim Munir, Chairman of IBI Group. After the meeting, Mr. Yu hosted a dinner reception. During the meeting, Mr. Yu introduced Changshu’s history, economic development, and openness to international collaboration. He reaffirmed the city’s commitment to high-level opening-up and support for “going global + bringing in” initiatives. He expressed hopes for stronger ties, more joint projects, and emphasized IBI Group’s role as a bridge for deeper cooperation under the Belt and Road framework.
