Loose, whippy arm action with easy extension generated from 6’7 frame. Heavier action on FB/CH, playing well down in the zone. Lefty heads into the spring as one of the higher upside uncommitted arms remaining in his state class

“If you’re a high school athlete you better be lifting year round. You’re competing with transfer portal athletes who train 48 weeks a year. You’re a baseball player who lifts for 3 months in the off season then says “I have travel ball” or “I’m not lifting in season” you are already behind. Lifting is the X factor for baseball players”

What a couple of months this has been! Many thanks to ‘Murphy To The Hall’ group and all those involved in the effort to get me over the line into the HOF. And thank you to all of you fans who mean so much to us. Nancy and I and our family couldn’t be more honored and grateful for all the support and kindness. It wasn’t the outcome we were hoping for but we’re good and we’ll be hoping for another chance in 3 years! 🙏👍🏼
I'm very happy for Jeff Kent, a bona fide slugger who dominated his position, but my heart breaks for Dale Murphy, Don Mattingly, and Carlos Delgado.
Murph was a two-time MVP and is one of the game's all-time great human beings.
His omission from the HOF remains indefensible.
Six lousy votes? I am, like so many of you, angry tonight. It’s beyond disappointing. But never forget Murph has something far more precious than a plaque: the admiration and respect of millions. The people’s champion.
Hall of Famer Joe Torre, who managed Dale Murphy from 1982-84:
"If you're a coach, you want him as a player. If you're a father, you want him as a son. If you're a woman, you want him as a husband. If you're a kid, you want him as a father. What else can you say about the guy?"
One of the biggest fans of Dale Murphy is his son Jake. He believes his dad belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame not just for his incredible career - but for the legacy he created with fans across generations. #MurphyToTheHall
So honored to be on the Contemporary Baseball Era ballot! I have so much respect for the Hall of Fame all it represents. I’m grateful to be considered.
Everybody wants to skip steps. You don’t get to.
At first you’re not very good.
Then you get a little better.
Then you fail.
And that failure actually teaches you how to win. Success is built in layers — habits, discipline, and time.
No shortcuts.
