BREAKING: Music legend Neil Young trolls former fan Donald Trump in hilarious fashion by inviting him to attend his tour to "hear our music just as you did for decades" but with one major catch.
This one has MAGA supporters clamoring for a boycott...
"Our country and our way of life, that which our fathers and theirs fought for, is now threatened by the government," Young wrote on his website. "This is not what we voted for. This is our new reality. Our government is out of control, not standing for us. You can stand up for American values this summer, for our children and theirs."
"When I tour the USA this summer, if there is not martial law by then which would make it impossible, let’s all come together and stand for American values," he wrote, alluding to a possible escalation of Trump's fascist governance.
"We will not be doing a political show. We will be playing the music we love for all of us to enjoy together. President Trump, you are invited. Come and hear our music just as you did for decades," he continued.
Reportedly, Trump was a big fan of Neil Young's music back before Young became one of his most outspoken critics. In 2008, Trump spoke to Rolling Stone after the publication noticed him front row at a concert.
"He’s got something very special," Trump said at the time. “He’s performed for me at my casinos over the years, and he just brings it down. I’ve met him on occasions and he’s a terrific guy."
In his new post, Young also appeared to obliquely allude to the ongoing feud between Trump and music icon Bruce Springsteen.
"Bruce Springsteen and many others will be in our country this summer, there for you, playing your favorite music, songs like 'Born in the USA," Young wrote. "We are proud to be who we are, and we must never let our government forget it."
"Thanks, Neil," he concluded.
Two weeks ago, Young unleashed a scathing attack on Trump via his website.
"Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza," he wrote.
"That’s your problem. I am not scared of you. Neither are the rest of us," he continued. "You shut down FEMA when we needed it most. That’s your problem Trump. STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING. Think about saving America from the mess you made."
"Remember what the White House is? 86/47??? That’s what you think about," Young went on. “You are forgetting your real job. You work for us. Wake up Republicans! This guy is out of control. We need a real president!"
The barrage came in the wake of a series of outbursts from Trump targeting Springsteen after the singer kicked of his highly-anticipated tour by stating that America is "currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration."
Trump threatened to launch a "major investigation" into Springsteen over his support of Kamala Harris and called him "highly overrated," a "pushy, obnoxious JERK," and a "dried out 'prune' of a rocker."
Clearly, Neil Young isn't backing down from this fight and neither should we. The future of our country hangs in the balance and it's our responsibility as Americans to vocally oppose Trump's destructive agenda every single day.
Please retweet an if you stand with Neil Young against MAGA!
We worry that Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia is still in the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) in El Salvador, where he was illegally transported by the Trump Administration. Bring him back and let him talk. Let him tell his story NOW. He is wrongfully, illegally incarcerated.
Poland’s PM Tusk is catching flak from his people, the EU, & the world community for wrongly offering Netanyahu free passage to an Auschwitz memorial, rather than serving him the arrest warrant that has been issued by the International Criminal Court. #ICC
