Ingnoring ontology and ontological mobility are two challenges that counselling deals with currently. With technological advances that aim to arrive at a “transhumanist” or “post-humanist” reality (E.g. trials with Musk’s Neuralink), what does it really mean to be a human today?
Perichoresis (peri: around, choresis: in sync with) essentially refers to the infusion of the Holy Trinity as one God in the Christian understanding. In counselling, a perichoretic framework assists the counsellor and the client undergo a relational and mutual indwelling.
What is the difference between Iron man, spider man, Hulk, Wonder Woman, Stephen Hawking and the client sitting in front of you, the therapist?
