The Small Business Champions Initiative is calling for AI-driven tools, training and initiatives that support micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises in global trade.

If you are developing technology, delivering capacity-building programmes, or already using AI to help MSMEs navigate supply chains, logistics, finance, or regulation, this is your chance to share what works.

Winning proposals will be invited to participate in the International Telecommunication Union AI for Good Global Summit in July 2026, helping scale real-world solutions that empower small businesses worldwide.

The multilateral trading system is under sustained pressure, and patchwork solutions are no longer enough.

That’s why, on the sidelines of the @WorldGovSummit in Dubai and in partnership with @DubaiChambers, we convened a high-level roundtable bringing together governments and business leaders to tackle this reality head-on.

The message from the room was clear: Business is ready to step up and work with willing partners across sectors to deliver tangible solutions at the WTO’s 14th Ministerial Conference and beyond.

As #globaltrade enters a new phase, the priority must shift from recommendations to delivery. That means practical action on technology, digitalisation and finance to restore predictability, strengthen resilience and give businesses across MENA the confidence to invest, #trade and grow with partners around the world.

At a moment when uncertainty is weighing heavily on the global economy, the EU-Mercosur trade agreement is a clear statement in favour of open markets, effective cooperation and rules-based trade.

If effectively implemented, this deal will create meaningful opportunities for growth, entrepreneurship and job creation across both regions — improving market access, lowering technical barriers to trade and giving businesses the predictability they need to invest and expand across borders.

ICC looks ahead to the formal signature of the deal expected next week. We stand ready to work with governments to ensure the agreement delivers practical, real-economy benefits for companies of all sizes — and reinforces trust in trade as a driver of shared prosperity.

In just two years, global exports operating under MLETR-aligned frameworks surged from 34% to 61.5% — a major leap toward paperless, interoperable trade.
