According to the @UNDP 's flagship report, The Next Great Divergence, AI usage in some high-income economies reaches two in three people, while in many low-income countries it remains close to 5%.
These statistics describe the conditions under which the rules governing AI are being written and who influences them. Addressing requires governance processes that are informed by diverse starting points and approaches that are sensitive to the different capacities and contexts.
The @rockefellerfdn survey across 34 countries found that 55% of respondents prioritize international cooperation when it aligns with national strategic goals.

Recent data from the @wef indicates that while broad cooperation metrics have shifted, progress thrives where engagement remains flexible and focused on shared interests.
Across all sectors, ICEED builds its engagement on long-term presence and relational trust.
Last month in Rome, ICEED joined the @NATOFoundation as it marked its 15th anniversary. As the foundation enters its next chapter, ICEED reaffirms its commitment to building on this partnership and contributing to the work ahead.

This is my final year as @UN Secretary-General.
Let me assure you that I will make every day count.
I am fully committed to keep fighting for the better world that we know is possible.
I will not give up.

ICEED supports locally anchored approaches that ensure our global vision for systemic stability is built on a strong foundation
This yearโs Assembly drafted resolutions on circular economy approaches, sustainable minerals and metals, freshwater governance, biodiversity, pollution reduction, and the environmental impacts of emerging technologies

These shifts highlight an important inflection point for policymakers and investors alike. What matters now is coordination between regulators, utilities, and industry to ensure innovation strengthens rather than destabilises the transition already underway

My message to ministers and negotiators here at #COP30:
Engage in good faith to reach an ambitious compromise.
1.5ยฐC must be your only red line.
Be bold.
Follow the science.
Put people above profit.
This is the hour for leadership.
At ICEED, we recognize the growing importance of adaptive multilateralism, an approach that values coherence, learning, and collaboration across distinct mandates.
