The 2nd cohort of the ISPO-accredited Prosthetics & Orthotics program @Erbil Polytechnic University is nearing graduation. Supported by @ICRC, this program has trained 30 globally-recognized professionals as of 2026, boosting Iraq’s capacity for quality rehabilitation services.

Basheer, from Tal Afar, lost everything due to armed conflict but never gave up hope. After years of displacement, he returned to his home just over a year ago. With an @ICRC grant, he started a project with 6 sheep, which eventually grew to more than 50.

This time, students led our campaign on the dangers of weapon contamination. @ Al-Ma'arri School in Baiji, they painted murals with @ICRC, creating impactful messages. Together, we transformed life-saving info into a collaborative activity, building awareness.
