I would not normally like to make complaints in such a public manner. However i have no choice at this it seems. This is directed to @ThreeIreland and retweets much appreciated. This will be long and there will be screenshots in comments.
I was guaranteed a new contract today 👇🏻
Living with Stage 4 #ovariancancer & a terminal diagnosis can feel as if you are carrying a weight.
However there are times you can find the #Joy and let that weight float away.

If you told me that when I began walking on 15th May that I would walk the length of Ireland, I would laugh at you!
Someone said to me earlier that I’ve now walked the length of the country 🇮🇪

Never liked the "Fight" terminology often used around cancer patients. Cancer cares not about attitudes, it only succumbs to good treatments. The real fight is ensuring every patient has timely access to those treatments without a fight they don't have the time & energy for.

I was surprised to read this.
From @ronan_glynn, now working in the commercial sector for @EY_Ireland.
Advocating that "a faster, flexible process for funding adult vaccines should be created", and that "in conclusion, the case for prioritising adult immunisation is clear. This requires a concerted effort from policymakers, healthcare providers, and the community at large."
As far as I can see, this is not referencing a specific vaccine with randomised data supporting a positive risk:benefit ratio, but vaccines in general.
An unusual position paper.
What about "a faster flexible process for funding" specific anti-cancer drugs that are optional, and shown to be effective with randomised data?

Very interesting! While #LynchSyndrome greatly increases risk of developing #ColorectalCancer, some people with it never develop this type of cancer and others do, some multiple times.... Why? Maybe gut bacteria has some answers! 🧐

4 weeks post total-proctoclectomy. Recovery is slow, pain still requires morphine and repeated UTIs due to bladder dysfunction are irritating.
But wounds are healing (perineum cuts are no fun), and stamina is returning.
My ileostomy has immeasurably helped my quality of life
Important research now emerging, showing a complex landscape in the development of Colorectal Cancer. Much work also being done in the Irish Research Landscape, helping us to better understand, prevent and treat

Although much remains to be discovered, there is fantastic progress in researching the reasons behind the steady rise of early onset colorectal cancer.

Genetic risk variants are a significant driver of EOCRC risk. Accelerated aging appears to be associated with increased risk of both EOCRC and LOCRC, more remarkable in #EOCRC.
