Únava z války na Ukrajině? „Byl jsem dítětem studené války. Studenou válku jsme kolektivně udržovali padesát let, nepocítili jsme únavu, neomrzela nás, pochopili jsme, co je v sázce,“ nabádá vlivný americký kongresman @GerryConnolly.

#NATOPA President @GerryConnolly: "In my meeting with 🇨🇿 Foreign Minister and @natopa alumn @JanLipavsky today, I thanked #Czechia for its contribution to #NATO and support to #Ukraine, and discussed how to advance NATO's role in defending #democracy including through the establishment of a Center for Democratic Resilience at NATO HQ"
🆕At the event, IFES announced the launch of a Democratic Resilience Lab to assist in coordinating civil society response to the growing authoritarian threat .
On the grounds of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Prague and with the participation of parliamentarians, international organizations and non-governmental experts, I had the honor of speaking during the discussion: "The road to resilience: what makes democracy persist?"
Congressman John Connelly, an inspired and consistent supporter of Ukraine, opened the debate with a great speech, and then the media reported that he was somewhat skeptical of Zelenskyi's Victory Plan in terms of replacing part of the US NATO contingent with Ukrainian troops who would have the most extensive combat experience in a war with Russia. First of all, he already responded to the questions of a Czech politician and others, who directly connect the American military and their bases with the readiness of the United States to protect its partners in Europe. This is not about the physical contingent but about participation and responsibility. These questions were asked mainly by Europeans with fear and misunderstanding this point of Volodymyr Zelenskyi's plan. Unfortunately, Congressman Connelly did not answer my question about inviting Ukraine to NATO as the only valid guarantee of security in Europe. Still, he recognized the right of Ukraine to destroy legitimate military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation. However, the question remains: what exactly?
