BREAKING: The Federal Reserve has raised interest rates by 25bps for the first time since July 2023.

It was a unanimous 12-0 decision.

The Fed wrote in their statement that Middle East conflicts and geopolitical developments led to the decision.

They are projecting 2 more rate hikes in 2027.
