Senator @AndrewChesneyIL speaks in disgust on the budget bill as Democrats once again pass record spending while the taxpayers sleep.

At 3AM, the Senate passed this coming year's state budget with $800Million+ in tax and fee increases. This marks 7 years in a row of JB Pritzker raising taxes on working families - with this budget bringing the total number of tax increases under Pritzker to OVER 60!

- The FY27 Revenue Bill was filed moments ago. This 1600 page bill is part of the 3-bill budget package.

The revenue bill is typically where you will find many of the tax increases tucked away for the coming fiscal year. We'll vote on this 1600 page bill sometime between now and 2AM, if this is even the final version of the bill.

We expect this bill to contain tax increases on social media/advertising at 10%, betting/predictive markets, businesses through Federal decoupling, and more.

The Democrats need to raise $900 million dollars to balance their budget, and this bill is going to help them do it.

This will be tax increase number 58 or higher under @JBPritzker

@BradHalbrook has been talking all spring about their massive failures. This commission's mistake literally caused a 50% decrease in vendors, and the high paid directors had no answers for it. Waste and abuse at its finest in IL.

❓️Can Men Menstruate? Do Men Have Uteruses?❓️

These may sound like simple questions - but the House Democrats can't seem to find an answer for them.

While running a bill that mandates construction sites provide separate restroom facilities for "women and people who menstruate", a ranking member of the Illinois House Democrats was dumbfounded when asked how she would define those very items in her legislation. (By the way- these same people think 13 year old girls should have to share restrooms with biological males. Where is their privacy?)

Specific to this bill - without clear definitions, construction companies are going to be left out in the wind. The bill references "women", "gender", and "people who menstruate" as things that would trigger this mandate, but yet the Democrats can't even define what those are.

How can we trust the Democrats to run our state, when they don't even know whether or not a Man has a Uterus?

I’m an “attack dog” for simply pointing out you—

❌refused to clearly support the Trump-backed map
❌are now flip flopping
❌share consultant with Massey, Pascoe, Bennett and the Speaker
❌do not support closed primaries
❌were asked by the Speaker to run!
❌do not support life beginning at conception
❌donated tons of money to Lindsey Graham, the Speaker, McMaster, etc
❌exclusively attack conservatives in the @SCFreedomCaucus like Joe White, April Cromer and myself but NEVER call out any RINOs by name
❌didn’t bother voting in past Republican primaries
❌used Elon’s DOGE brand (though there’s no actual connection) to apparently trove voter data to run for governor
❌never showed up to help fight on ANY major isssue in my 6 years leading the conservative fight I the Legislature (in fact while I was fighting the establishment, you were FUNDING them)

And don’t worry, I have a lot more.

I believe the evidence supports that Rom Reddy is an establishment plant.

He also now calls me “a bad guy” for pointing out all those pesky facts.

That’s another thing you and the RINOs agree on—you all hate conservatives that speak up and ask tough questions.

Guess I’ll keep being an “attack dog.”
