Senator @AndrewChesneyIL speaks in disgust on the budget bill as Democrats once again pass record spending while the taxpayers sleep.

At 3AM, the Senate passed this coming year's state budget with $800Million+ in tax and fee increases. This marks 7 years in a row of JB Pritzker raising taxes on working families - with this budget bringing the total number of tax increases under Pritzker to OVER 60!

Under the cover of darkness, well after midnight, the Democrats raised taxes once again to fund their spending plans. The $56 Billion budget barely scraped through at 4AM Monday morning, 4 hours after the supposed "end of session".

- The FY27 Revenue Bill was filed moments ago. This 1600 page bill is part of the 3-bill budget package.

The revenue bill is typically where you will find many of the tax increases tucked away for the coming fiscal year. We'll vote on this 1600 page bill sometime between now and 2AM, if this is even the final version of the bill.

We expect this bill to contain tax increases on social media/advertising at 10%, betting/predictive markets, businesses through Federal decoupling, and more.

The Democrats need to raise $900 million dollars to balance their budget, and this bill is going to help them do it.

This will be tax increase number 58 or higher under @JBPritzker

❓️Can Men Menstruate? Do Men Have Uteruses?❓️

These may sound like simple questions - but the House Democrats can't seem to find an answer for them.

While running a bill that mandates construction sites provide separate restroom facilities for "women and people who menstruate", a ranking member of the Illinois House Democrats was dumbfounded when asked how she would define those very items in her legislation. (By the way- these same people think 13 year old girls should have to share restrooms with biological males. Where is their privacy?)

Specific to this bill - without clear definitions, construction companies are going to be left out in the wind. The bill references "women", "gender", and "people who menstruate" as things that would trigger this mandate, but yet the Democrats can't even define what those are.

How can we trust the Democrats to run our state, when they don't even know whether or not a Man has a Uterus?

This is the most underreported fact in politics right now.

There are THOUSANDS of these "moderate Republicans" in our state legislatures. Yes, THOUSANDS. Red states, blue states, purple states.

These fake Republicans are decent enough on life and gun issues, and I use the word "decent" charitably, that they have convinced the voters that they are conservative.

But they conspire with the actual Democrats to form a Uniparty that grows state government.

In red states, it's truly offensive because Republicans often have supermajorities that are entirely capable of passing amazing, glorious conservative priorities. But they don't because the Uniparty in charge serves the special interests who fund their campaigns instead of the conservative voters who elected them. So they rob your wallet and restrict your liberties.

Case in point - Democrats in the Texas House were never punished for leaving the state over the redistricting fight last year. Why? Because Speaker @Burrows4TX relies on the Democrats to keep his power structure in place. He has to keep them mollified if he wants to remain Speaker.

In blue and purple states, the fake Republicans operate as the "loyal opposition". They support the Democrats' agenda or they quietly oppose it. You see, if they don't put up too much of a public fight, they still get their pork projects and corporate welfare that their special interest masters ask them to secure.

Case in point - 16 Republicans including minority leader, Delegate Jason Buckel, voted for the Wes Moore Democrat budget in Maryland. No self-respecting conservative Republican would do that. But these fake Republicans did because they are in on the scheme. The @MDFreedomCaucus refuses to play this game and they are very public about the fake Republicans' deception.

The only way...the ONLY WAY...to stop this, in my opinion, is an "inside and outside" strategy where State Freedom Caucus lawmakers (the "inside") work with grassroots activists, groups like @TPUSA and others (the "outside"), to expose this deceit.

I believe this strategy has been proven correct. The amazing men and women of the @WYFreedomCaucus started out with just 8 members in 2022, but by implementing this strategy, they took control of the Wyoming state house in 2024. And since then they have enacted conservative priorities like lower property taxes, school choice, capped spending growth, and a whole lot more.

Our other state freedom caucuses are following the same blueprint but the Uniparty still clings to power in those states. Eventually, however, conservatives will win. It's up to us to determine how quickly it can be done.
