The Uganda team at the @ComradesRace. I kinda like the organization and loud country representation. Their numbers are also commendable.
All the best guys.

Today, I formally handed over the office of Minister of Energy and Mineral Development to Hon. @DrMusenero . It has been an immense privilege and honor to serve our country in this capacity, working alongside dedicated public servants, development partners, investors and stakeholders to advance Uganda’s energy and mineral sectors.
We keep it here. It has been over 20 years down the road. Can't continue losing business and be treated like secondary citizens. There's a mast at about 2 1/2 km from Kachumbala CBD but we have suffered with connectivity for past 20 years! Enough is enough 😌
@mtnug@OOmunyo Hello, Bukedea has no stable network, have you also decided to marginalize us like PLU? Come and fix your network faster than light or take away your masts!
UEDCL remains central to Uganda’s industrialisation and tenfold growth agenda as the customer-facing arm of the power sector, responsible for delivering safe, reliable, affordable and accessible electricity services to households, businesses and industries across the country.
I noted the remarkable growth in UEDCL’s customer base from approximately 178,000 customers to about 2.4 million, now exceeding 2.7 million connections, as well as the successful transition of experienced technical staff to ensure continuity of operations during this sensitive period. I also commended the operational and financial growth registered during the year under review, including revenues rising to approximately UGX 669.4 billion alongside increased electricity sales following the expansion of the company’s operational footprint.
Today, I chaired the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited @UEDCLTD at a critical moment in the transformation of Uganda’s electricity supply industry. I commended the Board, Management and staff for steering the transition process and reaffirmed @GovUganda’s commitment to building a strong, efficient, financially sustainable and customer-centred national distribution utility. At the same time, I emphasised the need for stronger governance, faster project execution, improved procurement efficiency and better customer service delivery to ensure Ugandans receive the quality and reliability of electricity supply they deserve.
@mwirigipaul@AbiazRwamwiri@Fssozi@joseolupot@AnitaKomukama@wdouglas81 Yeah, it was quite a congregation for a noble cause! The aftermath is the most-never miss component of these runs. The kimezi finish line reviews are the best as Generals openly share battleground experiences. On On!
#UEDCLUpdate: Dear customers, we have sustained a fault on one of the interconnectors to Namugongo Substation. Affected areas are Namugongo, Kira, Ssonde, Nabusugwe, Nsasa, Bulindo, Nakwero, Mulawa, Kitukutwe, Bukerere, Kiwanga, Nakasajja, Bweyogerere & Seeta Bajjo. The team is on ground to ensure power is restored in the shortest time possible. Apologies for the difficulty this has caused you. JK
Happy birthday to my mentor, Mrs Susan Muhwezi. @SusanMuhwezi
She gave me my first opportunity to work issues of development (Trade, Investment, Economic growth) as a young economist in her office. Gave me the space to learn, make mistakes and grow, and through it all, protected me as a young professional. I learnt so much from her on how to be a Leader, and never to be afraid to let young people take initiative.
Forever grateful for her guidance and mentorship so early in my career.
In Bukomero, under the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited @UEDCLTD , I officially launched the new Electricity Access Scale-Up Project (EASP) and the Electricity Connections Policy (ECP). The World Bank–funded EASP aims to add 900,000 new customers to the national grid, while enhancing the reliability and affordability of electricity supply.
