@AStortchilov@derJamesJackson The Jüdische Gemeinde Düsseldorf is quite antagonistic towards anti-Zionists. You are extremely antagonistic towards them, and you claim to represent the Jewish majority. The math ain't mathin'.
@AStortchilov@derJamesJackson you know there are other anti-Zionist / quasi-anti-Zionist organisations and people besides Jüdische Stimme right? And if we are to count who is Zionist or anti-Zionist by engagement in activism, then the number of Zionists would be quite small indeed.
@AStortchilov@derJamesJackson say, the Jüdische Allgemeine. Systematic silencing is of anti-Zionist Jews is on the other hand well-documented, and crucially, COMES FROM THE STATE. So why do you support state repression of the protection of Palestinian lives?
@AStortchilov@derJamesJackson Actually you are in this argument advocating for silencing anti-Zionist Jews. I am not advocating silencing anyone who is not advocating war crimes and such. There is no systematic silencing of Zionist Jewish voices in Germany. There is no pluralist debate about this in...
@AStortchilov@derJamesJackson Nothing says "we're against hate" like supporting obliteration of infrastructure in Gaza required to sustain human life. You're angry with antiZionist Jews for things they aren't guilty of, while you endorse real state violence. Describing war crimes as self-defence = endorsement
@BijanTavassoli@derJamesJackson BAK Shalom are unhinged. As are some elements of other parts of Linksjugend. BAG Shalom are relatively moderate by comparison.
@Parodyjeffx idk is this actually more despicable than the western tendency to camouflage complicity with their own states' war crimes by deployment of liberal discourse?
@AStortchilov@derJamesJackson I don't agree with such cancellations. On the other hand, many such groups actively campaign to have other people cancelled for statements that are far less extreme than Holocaust comparisons. To paraphrase an idiom: Live by the sword of cancellation, get cancelled by it.
@AStortchilov@derJamesJackson I am actually *not* pro-excluding Zionist Jews from public discourse, unless they advocate crimes against humanity or repression (e.g. Ben Salomo). But people who actively campaign to exclude anti-Zionist Jews have no business telling me I should make solidarity statements.
@MgYnwn@derJamesJackson suggesting that left-wing antizionist Jews are like Jews who complied with the Nazis is insane. One clue is that most of the extreme right nowadays are pro-Israel, even if only because they see Israel as a force against Muslims.
@PSaygh@derJamesJackson I once looked up this quote and it turns out that nobody can find the original source. He probably never said it. This was also a very different time before 1967.
