Rather than a GOTV game to get young people to the polls, what about bringing the polls directly to young people?
That's the potential of mobile voting, and it should be an option for everyone.

Youth turnout so far in California is absolutely abysmal via @optiqdata
5% turnout statewide
4 % turnout in LA
If you’re a Dem counting on younger voters, your GOTV game better be strong.
In California's primary elections, there's been only 5% turnout so far for voters younger than 35.
This is alarming, and certainly won't lead to the most representative outcome.
Young people do everything on their phones already. We need a secure mobile voting option too.
Over 3.3 million Californians have cast ballots for the June primary.
Returns as of May 30 per @Political_Data:
🔵 DEM: 1,540,171
🔴 GOP: 1,126,628
⚪ OTH: 693,445
% Turnout by Age
18-34: 5%
35-49: 8%
50-64: 15%
65+: 30%
Texas has roughly 18.7 million registered voters.
Only 1.3 million votes were cast in this week's high-profile senate primary.
Such low turnout empowers the extremes, and makes clear that much more must be done to make it easier for everyone to vote.

Moreover, this SCOTUS decision sets a dangerous precedent that will unleash even more gerrymandering across the country.
As politicians carve up their lines, regular voters get less of a voice.
Mobile voting is how we ensure greater access to democracy while it's under attack.
After voters received mail ballots, Louisiana has called off its congressional primary.
This risks disenfranchising voters & requires new ballots sent.
But with mobile voting, voters could seamlessly receive a new ballot, reducing confusion for them & paperwork for officials.
For those *trying* to keep track ... in the 48 hours since #SCOTUS issued its ruling in Louisiana v. Callais striking down the state's election map containing two majority-Black districts (links to follow):

NEW op-ed in @dailycamera discusses barriers to voting access and makes the case for mobile voting in Colorado's local elections.
Everyone must be able to take part in our democracy — especially the elections that matter most for our neighborhoods and day-to-day lives.
With mail-in voting under attack, there must be other options that ensure access to the ballot box.
Mobile voting fills a real need, and we hope states and cities act now to make it an option for Americans who face barriers to the ballot box.
Mobile voting would help Minnesota seniors, people with disabilities, rural voters & military families securely cast their ballots from anywhere.
More access. More voices.
Tell your legislators in St. Paul: It’s time to modernize the ballot box.

Another reason to support mobile voting: A resilient, always-available ballot box in the palm of your hand. No more confusion when a poll site changes.
A Dallas County voter says he went to his correct voting location, was sent by workers to another location 15 minutes away only to be sent right back where he started. "Goddammit it shouldn't be this hard." This is being replicated across Dallas & Williamson Counties.
