I gifted a skirt to my Muslim girlfriend. She lives in Rajabazar, Kolkata and during TMC rule..she wasn’t able to wear that skirt because of the reasons we are all aware of. Whenever I went to meet her..she always came fully covered.
One day.. I asked her..Bengal is considered a feminist society where girls have some of the most freedom in India, so why do you have to dress like this when you don’t want to?

she replied..This is not the same Bengal anymore. Under TMC rule, things in West Bengal are no different from Bangladesh...this is not the Bengal all imagines
