Rahul ji visited Tamil Nadu on the 18th and 20th, where he warmly greeted leaders and graciously accepted shawls and wishes from Congress leaders, DMK alliance candidates across all six public meetings. In the rush of moving between engagements, one greeting may have been unintentionally missed, but some sections of the media are unnecessarily trying to create an issue where none exists.

Shri Rahul Gandhi ji has been tirelessly campaigning across Tamil Nadu, and these photographs clearly reflect his courtesy, humility, and respectful interactions with leaders at every venue.

At every rally, Congress leaders, alliance candidates, and local DMK ministers have been working together in complete unity and coordination.

Shri @RahulGandhi and Shri @mkstalin have both publicly acknowledged their mutual support and reaffirmed their commitment to the alliance. The campaign remains strong, united, and fully focused on victory.

The Modi Govt is proposing to bulldoze a Bill to increase the size of the Lok Sabha by 50%. The number of seats allocated to each state is also proposed to be increased by 50%.

The argument that a 50% increase in seats across-the-board is equitable is deceptive. Proportions may not change for the present but there are deeper implications that cannot be wished away.

Any increase in the gap in the existing strengths of different states in the Lok Sabha will place South Indian states at a disadvantage. For instance, currently Uttar Pradesh has 80 seats and Tamil Nadu has 39. With the proposed Bill, UP’s strength will zoom to 120 while Tamil Nadu will crawl up to at best 59. Similarly, Kerala will increase from 20 Lok Sabha seats to 30 seats, while Bihar will move from 40 to 60 seats. Overall, the southern states will gain 66 seats while the northern states will gain 200 seats.

Mr. Modi is unilaterally preparing a law which will disadvantage smaller states in the South, Northeast, and West. The Chief Minister of Telangana has already raised an alarm. Others may very well follow as this proposal becomes officially public.

தேசிய விழாக்களில் கூட கட்சி பாரபட்சத்தை புகுத்தும் பாஜக அரசின் அணுகுமுறை அரசியல் நாகரிகத்திற்கும் ஜனநாயக ஒழுக்கத்திற்கும் முற்றிலும் முரணானது.

இந்த அவமரியாதைச் செயல்களை தமிழ்நாடு காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி வன்மையாக கண்டிக்கிறது.

Trichy North & South District Congress Meeting

AICC Secretary Thiru. @nivedithalva convened a meeting with the cadres of the Trichy North and South District Congress at the Trichy Districts Congress Office.

The meeting was attended by AICC Secretary Thiru. @christilak ; Trichy North District Congress President Thiru. R. Kalaichelvan; Trichy South District Congress President Thiru. B. Govindarajan; Youth Congress National General Secretary Thiru. Vichu Lenin Prasanth; Thiru. Asokan; along with district office-bearers, heads of various organisations, and leaders from different departments and wings of the party.

Key organisational matters and important local issues were discussed during the meeting.

I have visited thousands of villages across my constituency. People like you have managed to create disturbances in barely three places  and even there I did not run away. In the age of selective editing, such distortions do not bother me. Hundreds of people present saw what truly happened and stood with me. Unlike you, I did not run away from Karur to Coimbatore.

My people have stood by me like a rock and reelected me. They know the truth, and they recognize fake propaganda when they see it. It is my duty to fight for their rights. I believe in truth and service not lies and corruption.

Let me be clear, issuing statements does not convert fiction into truth.

Some serious public questions regarding you and your families unaccountable wealth  still remain unanswered:

1. Elem14 Ventures LLP – reports refer to transactions of around ₹2,000 crore. What is the source of these funds?

2. Ikkarai Boluvampatti, Thondamuthur, Coimbatore – about 14 acres.
By your own admission, you paid ₹40.59 lakh as stamp duty (11% of guideline value), implying a guideline value of around ₹4 crore. It is also widely known that market value there is much higher, easily around ₹40 crore or more. Who funded the difference?

3.Sulur, Selakkarachal land (now under South Estate) in your wife’s name – widely valued at about ₹30 crore.

4.Coimbatore L&T bypass property – estimated around ₹25 crore.

5.Annamalaiyar Chambers/Bricks said to be worth over ₹100 crore, in the name of your brother-in-law, Mr. Sivakumar, who earlier ran only a small blue-metal quarry near my village.
A simple question arises how did this massive asset growth occur while you served as BJP State President, without ever being elected to public office?

You have publicly claimed that even your personal expenses are met by friends because you cannot afford them. Then from where did the investments for these properties and businesses arise?

Instead of answering these questions, you target me and spread fake news  because you do not understand the pain of MGNREGA workers or our campaign to protect their right to work.

I have witnessed many such propaganda attempts over 30 years in public life. I will continue to meet people directly and speak the truth. 

So please, do not throw stones while living in a glass house.
