@escp_tweets guidelines for the management of pilonidal disease
➡️ https://t.co/OXQw0sypCP
Pilonidal disease (PD) is a benign condition affecting the natal cleft in young men and women usually between the ages of 20 and 40 years
Despite an increasing incidence, there is no widely accepted consensus that standardizes the management of this disease
This guideline may act as a resource for patients wanting to gain a comprehensive overview of treatment options
However, primarily, the goal of these guidelines is to provide an internationally collaborated set of recommendations for clinicians and healthcare professionals who treat patients with PD
Work by Dotun Ojo, Gaetano Gallo, Jos Kleijnen, Susanne Haas, Donatas Danys, Dragomir Dardanov, Gianluca Pellino, Johannes Jongen, Kathryn O’Shea, Luigi Basso, Niki Christou, Paola De Nardi, Steven Brown, Asha Senapati

SAS doctors are a valuable part of the UK’s healthcare workforce, looking after patients, services, and educating the next generation of doctors. This year, our Outreach team have met with over 1,450 SAS or LE Doctors at 42 sessions and they’ve had great conversations about how our professional standards for UK doctors – Good medical practice – can support them throughout their careers.
