We collected specialized data for a client at a rural area west of Calgary.
In about 2:30hrs,we captured over 36000 images of the site in RGB,panchromatic, thermal, and red edge band, which we then used to generate a DTM,DSM, and tiled orthoimages.
Check out the behind-the-scenes.
🌡Our recent drone thermal imagery shows temperatures hitting 200°C at exhaust vents, -10°C on exposed ducts, and +5°C to +10°C in most areas. These findings offer valuable insights, guiding us toward optimizing systems for enhanced efficiency.
Our CTO at IO Aerospace, Trevor Miller, is attending Intergeo 2023 next week!
@InsideIntergeo is the premier global event for the geospatial community, and we're excited to have Trevor represent IO Aerospace.
If you're attending, let's connect!
For a closer look at the incredible routes our teams navigate during these special missions, you can always track both flights using the N169CA and N15EH tail numbers on https://t.co/zFBbENojJA.

Taking to the skies once more;
We're coordinating flights with our friends at GAO and @carbonmapper .
Today, we're flying over Colorado. We look forward to the positive impact our collective work will have on addressing critical environmental challenges.
Today, we mark the one-year anniversary of owning our Learjet 35.
We're also thrilled to say that as of September 2023, our Learjet has logged an impressive travel distance of over 150,000 kilometers.

Both systems have their place and work well in their specific niches.
At @IOAerospace , whether we're surveying with the drone or covering vast areas with the Learjet, we focus on the details and get the job done right.

Today, our team was in the field working with an uncrewed aerial vehicle and performing some test mapping for our client.
This fixed wing drone is well suited for small scale and high-resolution optical work, and with a flight time of over 90 minutes it can cover a lot of ground!
This UAV is a good contrast to our Learjet, which is currently engaged in the MethaneAIR special mission.
While the Lear covers large areas well and is equipped with a sensor for detecting methane from 40,000 ft, the drone is capturing detailed pictures from 400 ft!
IO Aerospace is happy to be featured on @NPR for our role in the @MethaneSAT MethaneAIR Mission, fighting methane leaks and global warming.

Tactical flight planning is about safety, optimizing routes, fuel efficiency, and mission success.
Although opposing turns ensure georeferencing accuracy, our system aced 40 missions this summer without bias due to turn direction, with a robust and high quality calibrated IMU onboard.
Flying high with efficiency; from weather to wind direction, we make the most of favorable conditions for max productivity.
This doesn't mean waiting for optimal weather conditions to take flight. Instead, we seize windows of good weather to maximize data production.

Take a look at this shot from a recent mapping journey showing the Western Slope of Colorado!
We are happy to share that we have traveled over 100,000 km, with our special missions Learjet.
We appreciate @CPRNews for featuring the story on @MethaneSAT and highlighting IO Aerospace Inc.'s crucial role in the MethaneAIR Mission. Read more about how we are contributing.
