@firstladyship When you steal from someone and he is standing looking better than you, what do you do. You gather your fellow thieves to bring him down. That man is cleaner and better than all of them.

@Chima_Obi1234 He is a human being and it is possible to conquer greed when you internalise the reason behind the road to Calvary. This is what Obi did.
I Suspect Obasanjo Knew About It But Never Interfered —Ahmed On Forcing INEC Commissioner. To Resign In 2023

The National Chairman of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has provided an account of internal accountability measures within the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during his tenure as Secretary, highlighting actions taken to safeguard electoral credibility.
Baba-Ahmed spoke during an interview on Arise Television on Monday, April 20, 2026, where he reflected on his experience in the commission at the time former President Olusegun Obasanjo secured his second term in office.
“I was Secretary of INEC when Obasanjo’s second term came in place. At that time, the Secretary of INEC was a very powerful person. You had a chairman. You had a national commission. You have state commissioners, but the secretary had to be a serving permanent secretary. He was in charge of so many things,” he stated.
He described the expectations placed on officials of the electoral body, emphasizing strict adherence to ethical standards. “One of the things I will say here, and forgive me if I don’t mention a name, to show you the kind of standards of integrity required of INEC, not just because the public demands it, not just because the law demands it, is that the people who are there must live above board. Absolutely, you leave no grounds for suspicion,” he said.
Baba-Ahmed further disclosed that during preparations for a past election, members of the commission identified an issue involving one of its national commissioners. “INEC commissioners on their own found out that one of our own national commissioners had committed a transgression that could seriously damage the integrity of the 2023 elections on our own,” he explained.
According to him, the commission addressed the matter internally and took decisive steps. “We got to this commissioner and said, there is no way in the world you can stay in place. If you insist on staying in place all the way to the election, this was just a few weeks before the 2023 elections. We said, if you insist on staying as a commissioner in place, we will report this matter to the authorities. You will taint and discredit the integrity of this election, and we will not tolerate it,” he stated.
He added that the process led to the commissioner’s exit from office. “It took a few days. I suspect President Obasanjo knew about it, but President Obasanjo never interfered. And do you know what? We got that commissioner to resign and leave national commissioner for INEC. Another person was appointed in that commissioner’s place,” Baba-Ahmed said.
@Imranmuhdz@woye1 Anyone who wants to know the price of BUA cement should check with Nigerian Customs. The price from your regular retail point is not fixed by BUA. Please check before you post a reply.
@MalcolmInfiniti I support your statement which is borne out of fact. We saw it, and some of us disliked it. It is time to ask for forgiveness from the Igbo nation.
@ShehuSani I used MTN to register my NIN nine years ago. Remember some years ago lines not linked with NIN were to be deactivated due to security. My line was not deactivated until 12 hours ago. The implication is that MTN supports insecurity.
@pwajok_jane The Lord God gave land to humans and animals alike. When the humans can not domesticate the animals and become lazy, the animals kill the humans. Your government is pay and collect. Please, find out how your ancestors survived in the PLATEAU and follow alike. Do you want peace?
@aonanuga1956 The President ordered the security agencies to do the needful but will they comply. And if they refuse to do their duty, what next? Will he sack them or replace them? I do hope this is not a media issue.
