I had the honour and privilege of delivering the lead intervention during the G7+ working session on “Fostering New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity.”
Speaking on behalf of Africa, I called for a new paradigm in global relations- one grounded not in hierarchy, but in sovereign equality; not in aid alone, but in mutual benefit and shared prosperity.
Africa seeks neither dependency nor patronage. We seek partnership. Not as beneficiaries, but as equals. Not as spectators, but as co-authors of a shared future.
Africa doesn’t have a liquidity problem. We have a risk mispricing challenge.
Paying 10% interest for the same infrastructure G7 builds at 2% isn’t risk. It’s bias. President Ruto will be asking the G7 to do more to fix the risk architecture and Unlock fair access to capital. #G7France #AfricaForward @ATI_ACA@_AfricanUnion@AfDB_Group@WorldBankAfrica@KeTreasury@ForeignOfficeKE

A routine shopping trip to 4U Supermarket in Wuse 2, Abuja, today offered a quiet reminder of how everyday commerce links people, cultures, and nations.
As I walked through the aisles, I noticed Kenyan tea ☕️ #KerichoGold among the products on display.
Its presence on the shelves in Abuja reflects the steady deepening of 🇰🇪-🇳🇬trade ties, and the growing visibility of Kenyan products within the Nigerian market.
For me, it was a reminder that behind every product is a chain of effort & exchange that quietly connects us.
For tea lovers, it is well worth picking up - a chance to enjoy one of Kenya’s finest exports.
