🇨🇳 We are victims of long background checks when applying for TR&PR!🇨🇦 We call on IRCC/CBSA/CSIS to deal with the backlog of cases as soon as possible!
The Canadian Immigration Service (IRCC) almost ‘randomly kills’ and puts a large number of student visa applications who even has US visit visa or Canada visit visa into the ‘security check’ process regardless of the reason
Sorry to bother everyone, but please, those who see this, kindly help us by signing the petition, requesting that the BC PNP(Provincial Nominee Program) International Post-Graduate Program maintain its policy unchanged for students who enrolled or decided to enroll before the policy took effect by January 2025.
We have believed that, as stated in the official announcement, graduation state would qualify us to apply for Permanent Recidence through BCPNP. We placed our trust in the BC government, making the difficult decision to leave behind stable jobs and uproot our lives in our home countries. We sacrificed the familiar comforts of our communities, and even the continuity of our children's education was disrupted as we embarked on this journey. Yet, we believed in the promise of a better future in BC.
We deliberately chose BC over prestigious offers from institutions like Cambridge and Yale because we believed in the opportunities it offered, despite its existing policies. Now, halfway through our studies, we've invested heavily in our education—both financially and emotionally. We've paid steep tuition fees and struggled with the high cost of living. Yet, BC's sudden policy changes have left us feeling uncertain about our future.
If policies can change without warning and lack consistency, what does that mean for us? Today it's immigration policies, but tomorrow it could be anything else. Keeping promises and rights is crucial, whether in policymaking or daily life. We must take collective action to protect our interests and demand accountability from those in power.
If you are in BC and willing to support us in person, please join us at the Vancouver Art Gallery (750 Hornby St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2H7) before 11 am on Saturday morning (March 23).
We kindly ask for your assistance in signing our petition below. Your voice is crucial in advocating for our cause:

Please process those applications that meet the TR & PR conditions ASAP, please check those corners that you have forgotten, which are countless families trapped by security screening. We are here to consume, unless you think consume is endangering national security@CitImmCanada
Canada continues to support those coming to 🇨🇦 from 🇭🇰.
We’re changing the criteria for our Hong Kong pathway to better facilitate opportunities for Permanent Residency for those who are contributing to our economy and have Canadian work experience.

4/4 it's quite challenging for him. Household chaos has had an adverse impact on the physical and mental health of my sons. It's an unforeseeable dilemma, taking a toll on me and my family. Can you empathize with the pain of being unable to reunite with loved ones?@JustinTrudeau
1/4 #Wewannabeheard#heartbreakingstories My two sons (10 and 15 years old ) are waiting for me anxiously in Canada everyday! I submitted my visitor visa application through the online system on Nov 7, 2022. (It shows the normal process is 28 days). Here are the details...
3/4 and was approved by IRCC. In Nov 2022, I left for Beijing to take care of my mother who needs urgent surgery in the hospital. I am desperate to go back to Canada to look after my sons and have our family reunited. My husband is now taking care of the boys, but ...
Separated from my beloved wife for over half a year, and the worst part is our 3-year-old child enduring the separation from her mother. Hearing our child cry, 'I miss my mommy,' breaks my heart. 💔 @CitImmCanada@JustinTrudeau@SeanFraserMP
#Wewannabeheard#heartbreakingstories In Jan this year, my wife went to Canada for education. I applied for a travel visa in October 2022, but due to IRCC's significant backlog, my application was subjected to a background check until March 2023...1/2
Regardless of the outcome for us, life must go on, and we still want to continue sharing heartbreaking stories from all of you. Once again, we appeal for @CitImmCanada to expedite the processing of the accumulated cases on hold! Let's spread a little more love in the world! 2/2
#Wewannabeheard We have been silent on Twitter for a while, that's because IRCC has truly left us feeling hopeless. This uncontrollable factor has forced us into an indefinite and frustrating wait. During this period, we regained our strength...1/2
@SeanFraserMP Creating inclusive 🇨🇦, but we 🇨🇳 are suffering long background checks in TR & PR app. Working & paying tax for 3 years in 🇨🇦, my PR App submitted 25M ago is still pending at BGC. We call on IRCC to optimize & expedite the BGC process! @JustinTrudeau@CitImmCanada#Wewannabeheard
@CitImmCanada I am working for Hi-tech in Canada for over 4 years. But, in my PR application, my background verification for PR application, has been 23 months, to determine whether I am admissible to Canada, while I am paying tax in Canada for 4.5 years.
Yes! We have submitted early, but please also expedite the processing of the backlog and expedite the processing of the background check cases. We can't wait! #Wewannabeheard#canadavisa

#Wewannabeheard#heartbreakingstory Both my husband and I arrived in Canada as international students in 2015. After graduation, we secured decent jobs. However, when we applied for a travel visa for our 1-year-old son, the application got stuck in the background check (1/3)
Leaving us no choice but to return to Canada without him. He could only say 'mommy' and 'daddy,' and his first steps were wobbly when we left him (2/3)
