The cost of living crisis is the worst in 20 years. There's been zero improvement under this government. In fact we all know that we have gone backwards massively. The Nats, particularly Willis and Luxon are completely incapable of improving the economy.
How many more of these below-the-belt gut punches are we supposed to bear, huh? 🤬

I’ve seen some suggestions that the New Zealand Government should borrow as much as $30 billion to buy *another* bank.
Billions of dollars we’d need to borrow and pay a hefty interest bill on – further deepening our debt, weakening our economy, and leaving us more beholden to foreign lenders. It’s the sort of borrow-big and run-a-bank thinking you’d expect from Labour.
It’s also billions of dollars we couldn’t put towards the schools our kids learn in, the hospitals that care for our families and patients, and the roads we drive on every day.
If we want a more competitive banking sector, we should back KiwiBank to grow and compete more strongly.
That is exactly what has happened under National, with the Reserve Bank recently amending the capital requirements to enable KiwiBank to grow and compete against the big four Australian-owned banks.
