My first car I bought in 1982.
1973 HQ Holden, named the 'Pink Panther'
I just turned 20, I went looking for my own house but the banks wouldn't give me a loan, the house was 20 grand. I said fuck it. and I bought this with my deposit, 2 grand. We were together for a long time.
I am sick of... 'This govt is out of touch'
What they are doing is willful and deliberate
They have shown time and again they don't give a shit about Kiwi folk, except the wealthy ones
It's bloody diabolical the mess they have deliberately made
You're being way to kind on them
Minister seeking tougher accommodation supplement criteria claims $1000 a week housing allowance.
They're just a bunch of greedy hypocrites

Speaking of laying off 9000 people from govt, why do NZ politicians get $36,000 per year contributions to Super when people on super get nothing and dont even get $36,000 per year on a pension
@NicolaWillisMP
Upshot: "This is a clear income transfer from state tenants to private landlords of about $500 million and this is on top of the $12.5b tax breaks that have been handed to landlords in the last 2 years, and that was taken from the Climate Emergency Response Fund"
Turns out the benefit cost ratio of the Warkworth to Te Hana project is likely so bad if they release it, it would put into contention the viability of the project.
So the Ombudsman has sided with NZTA and MoT to not release the BCR, or any costs, of a $ 4billion project!
@NZNationalParty 1000s will disagree with you
They will be extremely worried about their future
They will move from secure employment as much needed public servants to the dole queue and perhaps lose their homes and relationships
All do you can pay for the unaffordable tax breaks for party donors
NZ Govt says it's cutting public services again, to save $. Yet it subsidises fossil fuels: $200m to oil exploration; up to $8billion for LNG import terminal (direct + electricity tax); $264m to weaken Clean Car Standard; free allocation of ETS units (cost of 100s of million$)
Other countries could take lessons from Aotearoa nz,
While gun violence can't be completely eliminated, it can be dramatically reduced if everyone agrees it's an issue
