Just in case people were wondering if I actually ever did art myself here’s one of my favorites that I’ve recently done. If you follow my insta @ irregulator I post my art way more frequently.
If you've recently been playing around with the Lensa App to make AI art "magic avatars" please know that these images are created with stolen art through the Stable Diffusion model.
Generally:
Artists don’t dislike AI art because it’s “not real art” etc.
Artists dislike AI art because the programs are “trained” unethically using databases of art belonging to artists who have not given their consent.
This is not about gatekeeping. This is about theft.
So apparently putting an artist's work into an AI and posting it is something people do now?....
please don't do this. it's disrespectful to my work and honestly kind of insulting
I’m honestly so fucking sad going through my insta and TikTok feed and seeing all of those AI Art self portraits. I know it’s fun but I’m an artist and my entire income comes from making art. I love what I do and I’m genuinely afraid for my livelihood at this point
Hey everyone!
I know a lot of people have been posting their Lensa/other AI portraits lately. I would like to encourage you not to do so or, better yet, not to use the service. These AI seem like harmless fun but they are predatory and intend to replace artists. (1/9)
