Dr. S M Abdur Razzak, Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) graced the event as Chief Guest and Mr. Md. Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul, Ex-Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation and BNP leader as the Guest of Honor. Asst. High Commissioner of India, Rajshahi, Mr. Manoj Kumar highlighted the contribution of ICCR in shaping the cultural and bilateral ties between India and Bangladesh. ICCR awardee presented the mesmerizing cultural performances.

Prime Minister @narendramodi attended the National Day celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Independence of Seychelles as the Guest of Honour, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to be accorded this honour.

An Indian marching contingent comprising Navy and Army teams participated in the parade. An Indian Naval band also formed part of the Indian marching unit, underlining the close and special India-Seychelles partnership.

In a special gesture, INS Tarkash and INS Ikshak were docked at Port Victoria, highlighting India’s longstanding friendship with Seychelles.

PM conveyed India’s warm wishes to the people of Seychelles on this historic occasion.

Assistant High Commission of India, Rajshahi organized the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) – 2026 on 21 June, 2026 at Kishor Football Academyt, at iconic I-Badh (embankment of Padma river), Hi-Tech Park, Rajshahi.
Mr. Mizanur Rahman Minu, Hon’ble Land Minister, Govt. of Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh was the chief guest.
Assistant High Commissioner, Shri Manoj Kumar emphasised on the relevance of Yoga in the modern fast-paced world, and also urged the people of all ages to practice yoga as part of their daily routine. Assistant High Commissioner also mentioned about deep cultural connect between India and Bangladesh, shaped by shared sacrifices and culture, including Ayurveda and traditional medicine.
Hon’ble Land Minister, Mr. Mizanur Rahman Minu spoke about the ancient history of the development of Yoga in the region.
More than 500 people participated in the programme. Several senior dignitaries and prominent figures, including Rajshahi Zila Parishad Administrator, the Deputy Police Commissioner of Rajshahi, Professors, business communities, renowned TV actress, yoga instructors, and a large number of yoga enthusiasts including school children were part of the programme.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction at the renewed momentum in the India-Germany Strategic Partnership, as both countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic ties.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue strengthening partnership in areas including trade & investment, defence & security, green & sustainable development, technology, innovation, education and mobility.

The leaders agreed that early implementation of India-EU FTA will further deepen India-Germany ties. They also discussed key global and regional challenges.
