Today in Kismayo, we had the honour of welcoming a high-level delegation from United Nations agencies, including the @UNHCRSom Representative for Somalia, the @UN_Women Representative in Somalia, the @UN-Habitat Representative, as well as delegations from @iom_somalia IOM and @FAOSomalia.
The visit serves as an important milestone ahead of the launch of the Resilience and Durable Solutions Project—an initiative aimed at strengthening community resilience, expanding access to essential services, and promoting sustainable, long-term solutions that improve livelihoods and enhance the well-being of communities.
This engagement reflects our shared commitment to advancing inclusive development, fostering local resilience, and delivering meaningful and lasting impact for the people we serve.

As a citizen, Mogadishu’s district council elections are a milestone. The process and involvement of different political parties can be debated, and some may question the elections’ credibility. However, a decade ago, no one would have dreamed of such a peaceful council election.
Today at East Africa University, Bosaso, I was privileged to be present during my niece’s graduation.
It was a promise I made four years ago, and I am grateful that I was able to travel a long distance to witness her special day.
