At Farnborough International Airshow in July, ITI Engineering and KIHOMAC signed an MOU to advance forward F-35 sustainment and Agile Combat Employment. Now at #AFANational, we're showcasing how quickly that collaboration has moved from concept to capability.

ITI Engineering was honored to welcome Rear Admiral Tom Druggan, U.S. Navy (Ret.), to our facilities for a condensed Introduction to Combat System Engineering course focused on the principles and history behind the Aegis Combat System.​

Drawing on more than 33 years of U.S. Navy service and extensive leadership across naval combat systems, integrated air and missile defense, and Aegis acquisition, Rear Adm. Druggan shared insight into the systems engineering processes that have shaped one of the U.S. Navy's most critical combat systems.​

The course dove into the evolution of combat system requirements, fire control, system engineering, verification and validation, and the evolving threats driving the next generation of naval capabilities.​

Opportunities like this strengthen our team's understanding of the missions we support and help us continue developing solutions aligned with the needs of today's warfighter.​

The F-35's presence in Florida is growing. ⚡

Homestead Air Reserve Base was recently selected as the preferred location to host 24 F-35As as part of the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command's modernization efforts.

Last week at the F-35 Lightning II Cockpit Demonstrator Event in Miami, we got to hear from U.S. Rep. Carlos Gimenez, Florida Lt. Governor Jay Collins, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics President OJ Sanchez and other leaders about what the F-35's continued presence could mean for Florida and the national defense mission.

As a supplier to the program, ITI has seen firsthand how the F-35 creates opportunities for businesses and supports highly skilled jobs across the state. We're proud to contribute to that mission by providing ground-based systems that support aircraft maintenance, mission planning and readiness for our warfighters.

The agreement brings together ITI's deployable ODIN hardware with KIHOMAC's airworthiness-certified MXU-1072/A Advanced Travel Pod to support concepts such as the F-35 Forward Sustainment Kit and missionized pod configurations for austere and forward operating environments.

For ATG, this reflects the value of focused collaboration: connecting specialized technologies and experienced teams to help move mission capability closer to the tactical edge.

Today, ITI signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ILIAS Solutions, a Patria Company, and OneLogistics B.V. to support collaboration around integrated defense sustainment solutions.

The agreement brings together complementary expertise across ruggedized mission hardware, defense logistics software, and forward logistics infrastructure to support allied customers across Europe, the Indo-Pacific, and other priority markets.

Yesterday, we asked how long it took to get from the first AI concept to ChatGPT.

The answer? 72 years.

In 1950, Alan Turing proposed his famous test for machine intelligence. ChatGPT launched in 2022. But what makes that number really interesting is that it wasn't 72 years of steady progress. The field was frozen twice.

The first AI winter began in the late 1960s after researchers discovered significant limitations in early neural networks. Funding dried up, and many believed the promise of AI had been overstated.

The real turning point came in 2012, when a team at the University of Toronto entered a neural network called AlexNet into an image recognition competition and won by a margin that shocked the field. The deep learning era had begun.

Twelve years later, generative AI tools entered the mainstream.

That's the story our team brought to the table this week. Understanding where technology comes from is part of understanding where it's going, and that kind of curiosity and continuous learning is something we value at ITI!

We recently had the privilege of hosting Lieutenant General Mike Loh (Ret.) and Major General Dk Carpenter (Ret.) at ITI Engineering.

Throughout their distinguished military careers, both leaders played critical roles supporting F-35 operations and sustainment. During their visit, they discussed the continued success of the F-35 program, its importance to national security, and the role industry partners like ITI play in supporting mission readiness.

As General Loh shared, "The data coming off the F-35 is like nothing else. It is changing the tactics, techniques, and procedures used across the operational Air Force and joint force."

At ITI Engineering, our team is proud to deliver the information, technology, and capabilities that help warfighters execute critical missions around the globe effectively and safely.

Often, we only hear bits and pieces about what our loved ones do each day as they head into work. It's not until you see the environment, meet the people, and learn more about the mission that the work truly comes to life.

This past weekend, ITI Engineering hosted our first ever Open House across our Central Florida facilities. Employees welcomed friends and family for breakfast, facility tours, great conversations, and a little fun along the way.

We had a strong turnout and appreciated the opportunity to share our workplace with the supporters behind our team. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the day!
