sorry, but cursing in public is not speaking truth to power. if De Niro wanted to do something useful, he could have urged people to vote, defended the judiciary and media, explained how trade and allies are of value, or pointed out how immigrants have helped make America great.
Less than half (46%) of millennials believe it is necessary to believe in God to be moral.
They’re also much less likely than Baby Boomers to say it’s important for children to be brought up in a religion so they can learn good values (57% vs. 75%).

If you're interested about whether Trump had the legal authority to order yesterday's attack, check out this thread by @jacklgoldsmith. It's worth a read.
Tonight, you will see spineless cowards who never served a goddamn day in uniform wave a flag and cheer on the possibility of sending young people to die in a war against Iran that they would never serve in, started by another coward who watched others sent to die in his place.
It is not unsophisticated or irrational to be concerned that an unstable buffoon who had never heard of the Quds Force 3 years ago is quarterbacking the strategy from his golf club.
A man I interviewed today criticized my employer for, he said, not presenting all points of view. I noted that I’d just sought out his point of view by interviewing him. I then asked which of my reports he felt were unfair. He then informed me that he doesn’t listen to @NPR. 🤷♀️
Chaser:
Steve Doocy, Fox & Friends, 9/24:
"If the president said, I'll give you the money, but you've got to investigate Joe Biden, that'd be off the rails wrong."
"He had to announce the investigations. He didn't actually have to do them, as I understood it."
That second sentence, which just kind of came out of nowhere, is rather damning.
"Turkey has taken tremendous deaths.... They've lost thousands and thousands of people from that safe zone," Trump said. FALSE. I am not aware of a single terrorist attack in Turkey carried out from northern Syria. This is Erdogan disinformation.
I hope every Capitol Hill reporter is tracking down the staffers of the GOP rep’s claiming that their staffers were tweeting while they stormed the SCIF. Each of those staffers should be asked individually if they sent those tweets and if so, how they got info from inside a SCIF.
Wrong.
I ran for Congress to stop the Iraq War. I’ve spent my entire career leading the fight to keep America out Middle East entanglements.
But the hell you unleashed - by double crossing an ally and restocking ISIS - will cost thousands of U.S. lives in the long run.
A real President would reverse course; a real Vice President would ask--beg--him to; a real SecState would be building options; and a real SecDef would be showing what can be done immediately with assets on ground.
By screaming conspiracy & feigning helplessness, it's on them.
No, the New York Times did not talk to six “swing voters” about impeachment. The article quotes a handful of devout GOP voters who the NYT has repeatedly interviewed multiple times. A thread....
