First Lady Diana Nausėdienė participated in a “Fostering the Future Together” event in New York at the invitation of @FLOTUS Melania Trump.

She stressed the importance of shaping the AI era around opportunities for every child to learn, grow and thrive, while making the digital world safer. The initiative unites countries around this shared responsibility. Every country has a role to play.

In Lithuania, First Lady Diana Nausėdienė brought together key stakeholders at the Presidential Palace to turn this commitment into action. A governmental working group is now in place to strengthen children’s safety in the digital age, with continued private-sector cooperation.

During Lithuania’s 2027 Presidency of the Council of the EU, Lithuania will further advance the European dialogue on AI, technology, and the future of our children.

I have just received confirmation that the new rotation of U.S. troops is already on its way to Lithuania!

We are grateful to @POTUS Donald Trump and the U.S. administration for this decision, which is important not only for Lithuania, but also for the security of the entire region.

The U.S. military presence in Lithuania is an indispensable part of our deterrence and collective defense.

On the eve of Europe Day, I met with the teams preparing Lithuania’s EU Council Presidency in 2027.

We are entering an important stage of preparation. At a time of geopolitical uncertainty, Europe needs unity and determination. Lithuania is preparing to take on this responsibility with ambition and confidence.

Our priorities are clear: European security, EU enlargement, support for Ukraine, and a more competitive Europe. 🇱🇹🇪🇺

-Push for Ukraine-EU talks now, membership by 2030.

On March 11, 1990, the independent Republic of Lithuania was restored. The Soviet-style coat of arms, a hated symbol of occupation, was immediately dismantled.

35 years on, we are still going strong under 🇱🇹 flag!

Together with Italian Prime Minister @GiorgiaMeloni, we discussed preparations for the extraordinary EUCO: how to strengthen European defence and intensify support for Ukraine. Italy’s role in Europe’s security and the reconstruction of Ukraine is vital.

We cherish our bilateral ties and agreed to enhance more joint projects in the defense industry.
