I’m outside Devonshire school rn with parents, where construction noises are exceeding 101 db.
We want new housing built in our community, but this is not respectful of neighbours or students @ClaridgeHomes@MonteMcNaughton@fordnation please step in and act - this is not ok
This all goes so far beyond education workers now. If this government… if ANY government gets to use the notwithstanding clause like this, how does collective bargaining in the public sector exist in Canada going forward? #onpoli#cdnpoli#cupestrike#OntEd
Where is the protest? Who is bringing the sandwiches? Who owns a bullhorn? We’re going to need t-shirts printed and buttons made.
#NoNewOPSChief until we hear all the evidence.
Proud to support @cmckenney for our next mayor. Catherine knows how City Council works, supports smart, green development, has a fully costed program that prudently uses our tax dollars, & will continue to stand up for all to make Ottawa an even better place for everyone.
I don’t understand the anti-cyclist hate. Me biking means I’m not contributing to traffic, not fighting you for a parking spot, not raising demand for gas and driving up prices, and by staying healthy I’m reducing the burden on the health care system. My cycling is good for you.
We're lucky good people are running for Mayor. The choice is clear for me: I want someone who will invest to build a better city instead of making cuts. Who is committed to ambitious climate action. Who is experienced & will stand up for Ottawa. That's why I'm voting @cmckenney.
@curious_founder@cyclelicious I find glasses are only an issue on days below -20 or in heavy snow. Those days I fit ski goggles on top and use anti-fog spray.
I really like both Mark and Catherine. These are good people who are committed to this city. I am impressed by their long list of accomplishments and involvement in civic life. But deciding who to vote for wasn’t even a little bit hard. For me the choice is obvious. 1/
Contracts are set to expire in late august and there is a legal process that must be followed before striking or job action can transpire which typically takes months, the only threat to schools being open would be failing to combat staff shortages and Covid-19. #onted#onpoli
People are really excited about Catherine McKenney’s run for #Ottawa Mayor to bring change, but I keep getting one main question - Can they actually win in this city? The answer to that question is yes. Here’s why 🧵 #Ottnews#Ottpoli
“In the past week, an Ohio abortion clinic received calls from two women with ectopic pregnancies — when an embryo grows outside the uterus and can’t be saved — who said their doctors wouldn’t treat them.” https://t.co/oAIxmoNm0w
@rollforlearning We’re doing a bunch of STEM activities focused on collaboration. Building spaghetti and marshmallow towers, catapults and Minecraft build challenges.
Why we can't have nice stuff, @ottawacity & @NCC_CCN edition. This is a photo of the MUP underpass of the SJAM Parkway under construction north of Churchill in @WestboroBeachCA. It may allow @KichiSibiWT to avoid the narrow section east of Skeads Mill ruins. So what's wrong? 1/x
