Seldom anyone in public life has spoken so categorically against communal and casteist hatred. It was gratifying to see @abhijeet_dipke being so blunt and brave to take these issues head on. 👍🏼✊
Why pick unnecessary fights with Congress when your stated goal is to restore democracy, @SauravDassss?
Stay focused on the larger mission. Building bridges with the Opposition can only strengthen the cause.
Congress is a historic organisation that helped bring democracy to India and built the nation brick by brick.
Disagree by all means, but respect its legacy....unless you’re serving someone else’s agenda.

Layer 1: Tata Group companies, including TCS, pumped ₹915 crore into PET; 83% of which went to BJP.
Layer 2: TCS quietly received the ERONET 2.0 contract; India's voter roll backbone; with no tender, no published contract, no audit trail.
Layer 3: Under that TCS-run system, Form 6 was illegally modified, 13 crore names were struck off SIR rolls, and statutory EROs in Goa were locked out of their own database by Delhi-controlled servers.
This is not three coincidences. This is one architecture.
IMPORTANT: After facing flak for over 13 crore deletions in electoral rolls during SIR exercise, Form 6 changes without due process and centralisation of software that finalises the rolls, ECI has gone into DAMAGE CONTROL. Now is promising a drive for ‘left out’ voters, an effective admission that there have been errors ! Sorry, but the credibility deficit for a badly implemented SIR won’t go away . 🙏
🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Republic of Ireland players lowered their heads during the National anthem of Israel.
The Irish players are also wearing BLACK armbands in recognition of all lives lost in Gaza. 🇮🇪🙏🏻
A video of Sahil Wakode (IIT Bombay) allegedly looking at his phone during an examination is now being played repeatedly across media channels, as if those few seconds explain everything that happened afterwards. They do not.
For a privileged student, cheating is treated as an individual act. But a Dalit student accused of cheating is rarely allowed to remain an individual. His alleged mistake is used to revive an old casteist prejudice that Dalit students lack merit and do not deserve their place in premier institutions.
That was Sahil's immediate identity in our social order. Not simply a student accused of cheating, but a Dalit student accused of cheating.
Rohith Vemula had written that a person is reduced to "his immediate identity and nearest possibility." Sahil is now being reduced in precisely this manner. A twenty-year-old human being is being compressed into one allegation, while the circumstances in which he died are pushed out of the frame.
The video may help establish whether Sahil violated an examination rule or not. It cannot tell us how he was spoken to, whether casteist words were used, whether he was humiliated or threatened, or whether earlier discrimination existed. Cheating may be wrong and caste discrimination may still be real. One does not disprove the other.
Sahil did not have to be a topper, an exceptional scholar or a faultless student for his life to matter.
People do not die merely because they fail. They are broken when a failure is turned into their complete identity and every possibility beyond it appears closed.
Stop using the video to put Sahil on trial after his death. Investigate what he did, certainly. But more importantly, investigate what was done to him.
The depth of Israel's international isolation is difficult to fathom if you're just watching mainstream media.
But these images do not lie. Look at all these delegates leaving the General Assembly in protest as soon as Netanyahu takes the podium... https://t.co/Ul7j6UVgkS
She invites people who have said gross things about her fellow women journalists to her podcast and here she has a problem with Rahul Gandhi sharing stage with a comedian!
"The children will grow up".
This was also the argument that Nazi officials gave, during the Nuremberg Trials, to justify why they had killed children during the Holocaust.
No-this is not crass humour. This is not immature behaviour. This is a much-needed long-awaited phenomenon. To fearlessly lampoon a PM is a democratic right long denied to Indians.
