My dad has had the same bear hanging up in his office and is wanting me to make him another one.

Nothing like being back in Wawa territory again.

[Gretchen Bird @IamGretchenBird]

There is nothing like a cathartic scream in your bosses office at 2pm.

*kid tries to take one of my fake poop piles*
"Hey dude, that my turd. I made it myself. Don't take that."
*adults starts to laugh*
*kid unamused*

10/10: making your car for trunk or treat "cats" and creating a litter box with fake poop.

Pete: do you want fireworks and a flock of pigeons fly for your birthday?

Me: ummm what?

Pete: Pigeons...they are the romantic birds right?...wait or is it doves? No it's pigeons...no it is doves. Doves are the romance ones.

I have to designate at least 2 hours to record a 10 minute presentations. I usually spend more time recording than preparing the materials.

Reminder: Do not compare chronic illnesses or disabilities to one another.

*in the Endoscopy Center at 7:30am*
Me: wow it's busy in here this morning
Nurse: yea it's a shit show in the mornings here

Me: no pun intended

How about let's not interrupt a provider 2 minutes into their appointment with a patient to tell them to hurry up.

[Gretchen Bird @IamGretchenBird]

The irony is this past week in my masters class we talked about the pandemic and resource allocations. I bit my tongue a bit in talking about disability and I'm regretting it now.

[Gretchen Bird @IamGretchenBird]

Recently, like @korndiddy , I'm becoming more comfortable in my identity as disabled. I hope that everyone takes 30 minutes to listen to this. It talks about disability specifically right now during a pandemic.

[Zach Kornfeld @korndiddy]

Why don’t we care about disabled people?

Shout out to @korndiddy @BeingCharisBlog @Imani_Barbarin @andrewgurza1 @ravenscimaven and @tryguys for engaging in this conversation.
To my disabled friends: we aren't alone.
To my nondisabled friends: listen.

Also 10 pounds of ham is way too much for 4 people, just incase anyone is curious.

[Gretchen Bird @IamGretchenBird]

Idk who thought that I could bake a ham and that leaving me in charge of it was a good idea.

I mean I guess I wouldn't eat it all...or any of it.

My Trader Joe's had gorgeous Ranunculus today. I immediately called my mom to brag.
