AAU proudly unveils a custom display featuring the distinguished leaders and institutions that established the Association of African Universities.
In 1967, 34 out of the 47 higher education institutions at the time came together to establish the #AAU thus laying a bold foundation for unity, collaboration, and collective progress in African higher education.
This tribute celebrates the vision, solidarity, and foresight that shaped our beginnings and strengthened Africa’s academic voice.
As AAU advances its mandate, we remain guided by this enduring legacy.
