When flights stopped and hotels cancelled bookings, hundreds of travellers in the UAE suddenly had nowhere to go.

That’s when Dheeraj Jain, a businessman from Merta City in Rajasthan, opened the gates of his Ajman farmhouse — and turned it into a shelter.

Now, working in the UAE for over 11 years, the real estate developer arranged free food, accommodation and transport for stranded Indians after sudden flight disruptions linked to rising tensions in the region.

He even deployed 11 vehicles to bring people from Dubai and nearby cities to safety.

Currently, around 200 Indians are staying there, waiting for flights to resume — and preparations are in place for 300 if needed.

In uncertain times, it takes a remarkable person to step forward like this.
