@martynziegler The PL would NEVER have charged a US-owned club with these offences. Knowing the furore it would have caused Stateside, it would have turned a blind eye - and that is something the PL has excelled at over the decades. City are convenient fall guys. The whole thing stinks.
@ToxicGoonerHQ@City_Xtra@TomCollomosse You certainly are toxic - just keep your nose out of our affairs and stick to the grappling, shoving, anti-football 💩show that is Arteta's Arsenal.
@MiguelDelaney Everyday that passes goes to highlight even more just what an absolute disaster Infantino has been for world football. And this WC, which looks like it will be totally devoid of the usual party atmosphere, passion & fan involvement, will be his defining legacy.
@johncrossmirror What about the way the Iranian team & officials, and the Somalian ref, are being treated by the Trump administration? The US is blatantly ignoring its duties as host country. There should be more coverage of things like that, the f you commercialism, etc in the UK sports media.
@henrywinter There needs to be more coverage in the UK sporting media of the way the Trump administration has treated the Iranian team & officials, and the Somalian referee. I simply cannot look forward to this WC with it's f*** you commercialism, immigrant paranoia, 4 quarter games, ICE, etc
@MiguelDelaney Although Blatter had big faults, at least he had a global vision for football which transformed the WC. Infantino has been a total disaster, allowing Americanisation of the rules (eg 4 quarters for extra commercials, etc) and letting the US violate it's host country duties.
@RealTolmie That is utterly sickening. We all love Pep, not just for the classy football and 20 trophies he has brought us, but also for his character and the emotional person he is. That is what makes his leaving so hard for us all, we will miss him as much as his football!
@spencermorgan93 City won 2 major trophies & finished a close 2nd in the PL. They also beat Arsenal 2-0 H2H, including in one final. So they were marginally the better team in terms of overall achievement - factor in the 'assistance' Arsenal received from @FA_PGMOL, and City were clearly better.
@henrywinter A pity the England & New Zealand cricket teams can't use 11 substitutes too. Then there might have been the semblance of a 5 day Test Match, not a glorified 20-20 one!
@henrywinter Hopefully the new IFAB rules will be a success, and put an end to this unseemly spectacle. But the very fact new rules are needed is really a damning indictment of #FA_PGMOL and the way they handed the PL title to Arsenal by allowing them to unfairly exploit the existing rules.
@themagic_tophat Can't wait to see City come after you. You'll have to file for bankruptcy and rent an attic box room on benefits for the rest of your life.
@henrywinter UEFA coaches should not tell clubs how to approach coaching - most anyway would opt for an emphasis on creativity rather than stifling it. The CL final was a terrible watch, with Arsenal's 10 man defensive block - the very sort of ugly anti-football that turns people off football
@City_Xtra@ManCity Perhaps with the Real Presidency election on Sunday, City players are getting caught up in all the noise around that. Both the Perez & Riquelme camps are trying to outbid each other on who they will sign if elected. All this noise may go away after that🙏
@MiguelDelaney No way would the best attacking players in Europe, having watched players like Saka & Odegaard play the whole game v PSG in a 10 man defensive block, want to play for Arteta and his ugly anti-football methods. It's so sad - they would have been lining up to join Wenger's Arsenal!
@City_Xtra@FabrizioRomano He's handling it all in exactly the right way IMO. He is now captain of Spain, so he has to focus 💯 on that. If he started answering questions on his future then the Spanish media, almost all of them Madrid fans, would never stop asking him about it.
