@SenatorWong Understand that you have to stay in the good graces of the incoming Admin, but no thoughts at all about the chants of "Fuck the Arabs" from these football hooligans?
How would you react if someone jumped on the roof of your home to remove a gay pride flag?
@Baumann_Mac@simonahac@climate200 Ron, I too am a monthly contributor.
Whatever impact Australia has to the ongoing genocide in Palestine and Lebanon will only be made worse by the election of a Dutton Govt.

We figured we’d give this one a final retweet tonight. It’s collected the lowest proportion of our #USElection2024 Trilogy (>30m views that we’ve seen). But in one week, in comments & messages, it’s really landed with swing voters -🤞🙏 part of a wider pattern of late momentum.
Poisonous spiders and snakes everywhere.
I found one in my house just today!
Really - it’s SO dangerous here.
And I’ve not even mentioned the sharks 😱😱 #auspol
Earlier this morning Janey passed away in her sleep. Her family were with her.
The love and support from all her friends and fans during this cancer journey brought her enormous joy. It has also been a huge comfort to us, her family and close friends, thank you.
❤️SHE MATTERS: UNNAMED WOMAN!❤️
On October 14, a 42-year-old Warlpiri woman was stabbed to death in the remote community of Lajamanu, NT.
Her male partner was subsequently arrested and as of last week was being held in custody.
She is the 66th of 73 Australian women killed this year.
NT Police confirmed with me last week he has not been charged with her murder.
When he was first arrested, police said the charge was pending. It's not known when - or if - the male will be charged.
I did post at the time of her death, but held off doing the She Matters post as I wanted to speak to family and wait for the male to be charged.
I've tracked and documented another seven Australian women lost to violence in the few weeks since she was killed - I wanted to ensure her death was not missed in the furor of more killings, so I felt it was best to do her She Matters post now.
I'll update it once someone is charged.
Since mid-2024, seven Indigenous women have been killed in the NT. Across Australia, we have lost 13 Indigenous women to violence in 2024. These are the deaths I know of - there are probably more.
There are currently two Indigenous women fighting to survive in hospital.
My deepest hope is both are able to leave hospital and live safe lives.
This woman's loved ones - indeed the entire community of - Lajamanu are mourning deeply as is the community of Yuendumu, where the woman also had strong connections.
Her death is yet again an example of Australia's greatest social justice issue - the ongoing slaughter of women by males known to them. Indeed, the ongoing slaughter of women. Period.
I know it's been some time since she was murdered, but that doesn't reduce the importance of her life - or her death. I've been thinking of her daily, to be honest. Put simply - she needs to matter to more than those who loved her. She needs to matter to everyone of us. She is someone. She matters.
REST IN POWER UNNAMED WOMAN! ❤️

I document ALL unlawful deaths of women and children, regardless of perpetrator gender or relationship between the person killed and the accused. This means not every death is due to domestic and family violence. Australians are also killed by strangers, friends, colleagues, neighbours and other people known to them.
