Does anyone remember the Punguza Mizigo Bill? I’ve just quickly scanned through it and there’s a lot of great proposals in it. Here is the document for everyone’s reference but I’ll highlight some of the more interesting provisions in this thread. 1/N

This is a defect in our legal system. There is a 1% chance (globally) and around 5-10% in Kenya (depending on which study you quote) of the accused being convicted.
Defamation cases have a 30 to 45% success rate globally. The equation will never make sense.
And about mentioning names and why it can be a suicide mission ..like Q Gathoni has been saying that a man who used to assault her is now vying for mp...no names mentioned ...the best she gives is hints...ONLY WOMEN/VICTIMS KNOW WHY THEY STAY QUITE...OR DON'T MENTION OUTRIGHT
if we are confident enough to tweet how we're not used to experiencing the level of state violence the past two years. we need to hear that we are privileged. this is not something to argue against. we must recognise and acknowledge that to understand how we got here.
malaya na shoga can never just exist. you are just chilling, existing and people wanna compare you to the police, mara politicians. ewe! leave us alone.
There is something i said and i repeat it without any fear of contradiction.
If Ruto would have kept the trajectory of all the other presidents where they only killed "undesirables" Kenyans would have been chill.
He leveled the field for state violence and thuggery.
It’s like we learned nothing. The fixation with Ruto the person, and not Ruto as a representation of a broader system, will be our undoing.
You want to be unburdened by Ruto, you don’t want Kenyans to have better lives and that’s a damn shame.
Ni thread yangu. Na juu hukusoma vizuri, ntakuelezea polepole. Sikusema lazima movement ikuwe inclusive. Si we already had this convo when after Maandamano, people on here said the movement had nothing to do with anti-GBV, anti-femicide, and LGBTQ rights. Ati hizo ni "agenda."
The avg misogynist, is also a tribalist, xenophobe, islamophobe, homophobe, etc. who will eventually turn on you! And it's playing out in her mentions saa hii with people calling her anti-Somali slurs. Msee utabamba by kuita watu shoga, yuubambwa pia na kukuita ngamia na malaya.
Watu hawana pesa. Kusimama kwa mvua si kupenda kwao. They’ve probably budgeted a fixed amount for transport, if they’re to do anything else with that money, it means kuharibu hesabu. Things are tight tight.
Surely @Safaricom_Care , I move money from lock savings to mshwari on Sunday, I don’t touch my mshwari, and somehow today I have no money in mshwari
@Safaricom_Care I want my money

Guys Ksh 60,000 is just $461.
It's not even $500.
In the grand scheme of things, you're still a proletariat.
And don't let being in a 3rd world Shithole like Kenya convince you you can do much with this amount just coz it's considered "good salary" by Kenyan standards.
Everyone felt sad for the penguin walking alone and the monkey rejected by his mother. But this video is far more heartbreaking, yet it didn’t receive the same attention.
