The court is erasing Banksy's mural just like it's erasing our right to protest.
It only took 48 hours for the Royal Courts of Justice to scrub out a @Banksy showing a judge striking down a protester with his gavel.
Silencing a work of art about silencing protest? Maybe it was a little too close to home.
The house in Clacton that @Nigel_Farage said he owned, but then said he doesn’t own, that’s actually his girlfriend’s, has a heat pump heated swimming pool.
Nigel once described heat pumps as “a rich man's game”.
Or rich woman’s game, in this case. Though no one seems to know where she got the money from.
Legendary British street artist Banksy has unveiled a new work on the side of the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
The mural features a figure holding a blank placard being beaten by a judge wielding a gavel, and comes directly after the Metropolitan Police arrested over 850 people for breaking terror laws on 6 September at a protest against the proscription of non-violent direct action Palestine Action.
Approximately 1,500 people took part in the demonstration, organised by Defend Our Juries (DOJ), in London’s Parliament Square - making it one of the biggest acts of mass civil disobedience in British history. Those arrested included former and current NHS staff, an 83-year-old priest and a disabled RAF veteran.
A DOJ spokesperson said: “Banksy's work of art on the walls of the Royal Courts of Justice powerfully depicts the brutality unleashed by Yvette Cooper on protestors by proscribing Palestine Action.
“When the law is used as a tool to crush civil liberties, it does not extinguish dissent – it strengthens it. As Banksy's artwork shows, the state can try to strip away our civil liberties, but we are too many in number and our resolve to stand against injustice cannot be beaten – our movement against the ban is unstoppable and growing every day.
“We hope everyone who is moved by Banksy’s inspiring work of art will join our next action, which will be announced soon.”
Since the controversial proscription came into force in July, more than 1,600 people have been arrested under terror legislation and over 70 have been charged.
Banksy’s artwork can be viewed on an external wall of the Queen's Building, part of the Royal Courts of Justice complex.
The difference seems to be Rayner made a stupid mistake and accidentally underpaid her tax.
Farage on the other hand INTENTIONALLY sought to ensure the tax was succesfully legally dodged.
One is deliberate the other a mistake. Whilst you will scream that one is legal - tax avoidance stinks and it’s a disgrace from an MP. Especially when he has LIED continually and said HE PURCHASED the house in Clacton. Why would his partner buy a house there? Did he provide the funds?
One rule for the rich and another for the working class. Britain is not a fair country.
Now ask Nigel about #FarageTax@Nigel_Farage put his Clacton house in to his girlfriend Laure's name, avoiding tens of thousands of pounds like Rayner.
But he won’t tell you that.
He already has a property worth about £1m in the village of Downe in Kent, as well as two houses in Lydd-on Sea in the same county, which are owned through his company, Thorn in the Side. He also has property in Tandridge in Surrey.
As Farage already owns other properties, the purchase of another residential property in his name would have resulted in a higher rate of stamp duty being charged.
The duty would have been 10% rather than the 5% rate.
There's also the fact Nigel's done tax avoidance schemes before:

So Kemi Badenoch's Conservatives, who have repeatedly pledged to fight for "free speech" and a free press have just banned me and Byline Times from attending their conference.
Has never happened before under any previous leader

Let's make this video famous.
Let's make sure @Nigel_Farage is shown to everyone be the fraud he is.
Let's make sure @BBCNews@SkyNews@Channel4News@itvnews allkeep showing this on repeat!
Retweet! Retweet! Retweet!
For a man who fashions himself a free speech martyr, Mr. Farage seems most at home with Putin and the autocrats of the world.
In Congress he testified freely, calling the UK an “authoritarian” regime but left before all Members could question him so he could be on his TV show!

Maybe GB News should ask him about it?
Now that @ZackPolanski is the leader of a party with the same amount of MPs as Reform UK, but more councillors, he should get as much media coverage.
RT if you agree!
It bothers me that today I had to point out…
To former Tory MP @PhilipDaviesUK
That the Hillsborough families invoked the ECHR in their fight for justice
Because he, like so many, either doesn’t know
…or is being disingenuous about the vital protections the ECHR affords us.
Tout bots, an increasing scourge. Software unleashed on ticketing systems to harvest tickets in bulk is a huge frustration for the genuine fan of the club queuing in the system, and then losing out to bots. The practice of tout bots is illegal under the Digital Economy Act.
“Organised crime and tout bots are a very serious problem,” writes @StamfordChidge in an important piece in latest #CFC fanzine cfcuk, words that will also resonate with fans elsewhere. “They (tout bots) have already made the ticket exchange unusable and the day that tickets went on sale to members for the Palace match, several hundred thousand tout bots invaded the system. At one point there were apparently 120,000+ waiting to purchase the 5,000 tickets available to members."
And not simply on the TX. Chelsea last week informed fans that on their new ticketing platform, “the system identified and blocked over 350,000 attempted purchases from bots during our first Premier League on sale period for the new season”. Other PL clubs with high demand for tickets also reporting attacks by tout bots.
@DaleJohnsonESPN If you believe that to be handball and warrant a penalty then you have clearly never played the game and should look to cover a different sport.
