Dear @hovisbakery please can you confirm what percentage of UK produced #milling#wheat you currently use in your bread as the packaging suggests it’s 100%?
Well said @RGFWesterdale & Wyn Evans. Key is making sure hindquarter cuts are sold in good volumes to return to a better carcase balance. Can’t beat @RedTractorFood steak this weekend so let’s see all the retailers doing their bit to drive sales
So excited to announce the launch of our #LockdownLearning collaboration with @eatfarmnow. Weekly videos from farmers across the country and resources adapted for use by parents by our experienced teachers @NFUEducation head to: https://t.co/aI5Cmb8zmW
The world may have been plunged into a dark time but farmers all over Britain are quietly going about their business, growing fantastic produce, planting crops to be harvested this summer. Don't worry about food Britain, we have your back. #EatFarmNow#justfarmersuk#FoodArmy
Spring wheat at last drilled into land we’ve been looking at for months. But no heroics here when there are real heroes out there on the @NHSuk frontline. Next autumn when this wheat is harvested I’m minded to use the flour to bake you the biggest ruddy THANK YOU cake ever made
I might have mentioned supply chain equity a few times over the last 12 months. Commercial pressure has led to supply chain fragility and lack of fairness. There is nothing in here I take issue with. We reap what we sow. hope a more resilient food policy is the silver lining
This crisis could well change the way this country looks at food security and what that means in terms of maintaining UK production. BUT this is NOT the time for farming industry to seek to take political advantage, it’s time for the industry to ask what it can do to help.
Looking at the better spring forecast it looks like farmers are about to get busier. So please take health and safety very seriously folks. The last thing our health and emergency service needs now is having to cater for people who decided to take risks.Think safe. Stay safe.
#FarmingCares we are gradually replacing all our footpath stiles with kissing gates because we want to make our rights of way more accessible. We did this one on a well used path yesterday.
