Check the Declaration of Independence and you will see that it based on theology indeed but it’s not Christian theology. It would be very good indeed for Americans to become Christian

@CapelLofft You are right about all of this I think. And the use of fossil fuels and the resulting economic and cultural changes have shifted our views on other issues- even liturgy for example.

@potamopotos @poeys2 Isn’t the chronology of St John’s Gospel rather different though? For example, it is at the beginning of Christ’s ministry that He goes and cleanses the Temple. If St Irenaeus is following the school of John, it might make sense that he would have an alternative chronology.
