Welcoming the People of Innovation and Misguidance While Avoiding and Repelling the People of the Sunnah: Shaykh Shihāb al-Bannā's Visit to Madīnah to Seek Redress for His Father and Shaykh al-Albānī
https://t.co/8jnBZnOqOQ
O brothers, these people do not realise! Otherwise, by Allah, they would be compelled to label the Messenger as a mumayyiʿ [one who waters down the methodology], and likewise the Companions and the scholars of this Ummah as mumayyiʿūn!
This is what their severe and destructive harshness entails, the very harshness that has devastated the Salafi daʿwah. It would entail that the Messenger himself, who called to gentleness, wisdom, and leniency, be labelled a mumayyiʿ.
We seek Allah’s forgiveness!
Shaikh Sālih al-Fawzān:
We say to you: Your praise of him is worse than his misguidance because the people trust your praise of him…

But when strong men such as Ibn Taymiyyah came along, at a time when misguidance had encompassed the Muslim peoples and their governments, when governments and peoples were under the control of the Sufis, many of whom followed the doctrines of incarnation and the unity of existence, and the peoples and governments had submitted to them, Ibn Taymiyyah came and raised the banner of jihad, clarified the true religion of Allah, and through him Allah rescued people.
Through him, outstanding Imams emerged, scholars for whom there was hardly any equal except among the earlier generations, in the times of the Companions and the Tabiun.
Thus it became jihad and struggle. If Ibn Taymiyyah had remained silent, what benefit would he have been to them? If he had merely written books without clarifying the truth, without commanding what is good and forbidding what is evil, what would he have accomplished for the people? He would not have benefited them in anything.
Muhammad ibn Abd Al-Wahhab drew his sword: da’wah, clarification, and the sword. Through this, the religion of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, was established.
And faith returned to the Hijaz just as a snake returns to its hole, through the da’wah of Muhammad ibn Abd Al-Wahhab, through the da’wah of this man.
Islam had become, except for what Allah willed, something forgotten: misguidance, superstitions, forms of shirk, and innovations.
If he had simply remained in his house, talking to people, teaching them, and remaining silent, neither commanding what is good nor forbidding what is evil, what benefit would he have brought?
As for the one who says, “Refutations, refutations!” — these people are wicked. Their falsehood is spreading; they spread their falsehood while they do not want anyone to refute them. This is their intention. Understand this!
This is why they try to discredit refutations and say, “The books of refutations harden the hearts,” and so on.
So are their myths and innovations supposed to soften the hearts?!
Through their schemes and plots, they spread innovations and misguidance and attack the people of the Sunnah in their gatherings, lectures, books, seminars, and everywhere else.
They attack the people of the Sunnah and the methodology of Ahl Al-Sunnah wa Al-Jamaah, while saying, “Do not refute them! Refutations harden the hearts!”
But attacking the truth and its people, and fighting the truth and its people — that, apparently, softens the hearts?!

Shaykh Rabee رحمه الله
Question:
With regard to what is happening today, is it sufficient for a Salafi to know the truth from falsehood, or must he refute the people of desires and innovations, and is this among the things that distinguish his da’wah?
(February 27, 2014) Shaykh Rabee رحمه الل responds:
The Salafi must know the truth, call to it, and clarify it to the people. He must fulfill this obligation. This knowledge and this call require him to refute falsehood, because the Noble Quran clarifies the truth and refutes falsehood at the same time. This is why it is called Al-Mathani, because it mentions good and evil: it calls to good and warns against evil. It mentions the believers, and it mentions the hypocrites. It mentions the disbelievers, the Jews, and the Christians, and the evil that they have.
Islam is based upon these foundations that we have explained. It is also based upon jihad, commanding what is good, and warning against evils. Islam cannot stand without this, and Islam can never be upright except through establishing, clarifying, and explaining the truth, criticizing falsehood, exposing its ugliness and wickedness, and warning against it and its people.
Any da’wah that does not fulfill this obligation is a failed and dead da’wah. It carries the germs of death within itself. The da’wah is only alive when it raises the banner of truth while humiliating falsehood at the same time.
This is it. This is why Allah says:
“You are the best nation produced for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong.”
How can someone who does not refute falsehood command what is good?! How can he forbid what is evil?! How?!
Or take, for example, Jamaat At-Tabligh. They say that they command what is good, while they do not actually command what is good. Tawhid is the greatest and most important field of knowledge, yet they do not teach the people Tawhid. As for prayer, they do not teach the people the prayer of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, yet they claim that they command what is good. They neither command what is good nor forbid what is evil. We ask Allah for well-being.
So what is the difference between you and these people if you do not fight innovations, do not fight misguidance, and do not refute the people of desires and innovations? What is the difference between you and them?
In other words, you increase the numbers of the people of misguidance if you see them and remain silent about them. You are supporting and encouraging them when you see them spreading corruption throughout the earth while you remain silent!
When you see thieves breaking into people’s homes and you simply remain silent, what is this? Is this commanding what is good and forbidding what is evil?!
The callers to the people of innovation are worse than thieves, worse than highway robbers. Ibn Abi Zayd and Ibn Abd Al-Barr said that they are worse than criminal highway robbers.
Therefore, it is always necessary to warn against them, expose them, uncover their faults, and strip them bare before the people so that people will be warned against them.
This is why you find the books of the Salaf filled with criticism of the people of innovation, warnings against them, warnings against sitting with them, and so on.
Many Muslims were only led astray because they abandoned this principle: refuting the people of innovation and warning against them. This is why the people of misguidance united against the Muslim Ummah, leaving only a few weak individuals who had neither power nor strength.

Take a hold and share of their inheritance (of knowledge), follow the major scholars, return to the great imams whose creed, methodology, principles and stances regarding the rulers and khurooj is still well known and established even after their passing away so you can be "with" the scholars in relation to this serious and very important creedal and methodological issue.
Note: this should be common knowledge for those who’ve read or studied the 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙦𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙖𝙝 of our Salaf and Imāms of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā’ah (scholars deeply rooted in knowledge and insight) – rahimahumullāh – but has been provided for reference sake. @DeQuran Why did you close the comments?! Afraid again?!
We wait the TAWBAH of Arafaat Al-Kadhabī @Arafatbinhassan from his supported Khuruj, his tabdi on Sheikh Abu Iyad @AbuIyaadSP , his lies about him, his slandering, online mobbing, lies on Shaykh Nizar especially after he refuted Arafaat Al-Khadhabīs lies on his.
Ya Miskin @DeQuran , are you not the one who wanted to sell fake vaccine passports?
The one who wanted to betray Saudi government for some dunya/money?
Aren’t you dis one? Ya Miskin…
Where are the Usuul?
He ﷺ said:
“Support your brother, whether he is an oppressor or oppressed.”
Imam Rabee rahimahullahu taala said:
If your brother is wronged, you are obliged to support him in his worldly affairs, so what about when it concerns his religion?
He was wronged because of the religion!
He was humiliated because of the religion!
And he was harmed because of the religion!
Then they sit idly by, watch, and say:
“A personal dispute!!”
“A disagreement among Ahl as-Sunnah!!”
— Bahjat al-Qari, p. 77
A Tremendous Advice by @almadani_k for Ahl as-Sunnah
Do not allow every disagreement that occurs elsewhere to enter your daʿwah and become a cause of division amongst you.
Occupy yourselves with spreading tawḥīd, the Sunnah and beneficial knowledge. Think well of your brothers, seek excuses for them, avoid the causes of hatred and division, and strive to strengthen love and brotherhood amongst Ahl as-Sunnah.
Many disagreements between brothers are, in reality, personal disagreements dressed in the clothing of manhaj.
Unite upon the Sunnah and the truth, and do not allow Shayṭān to find a way amongst you through division and dispute.
The Shaykh is the UK this weekend at @TawheedCardiff
@DeQuran Gamaal with Boef, the rapper.
Gamaal, after being willing to sell fake vaccine passports and by that betray the Saudi government, and after failing several times to “refute” Salafis, he now wants to teach us some usul that he himself is very unfit in.
How similar he and arafaat are!
Both weak in usul, but strong in transgression.
In contrast to these individuals, Muhammad ibn Sirin said:
“Indeed, this knowledge is your religion, so look carefully at whom you take your religion from.”
Gamaal is an unserious person, just like his teacher arafaat @Arafatbinhassan

The believer is not attached to personalities, groups or large numbers. He is attached to the truth: the Book of Allāh, the Sunnah of His Messenger (salallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam), and the methodology of the Sahābah (radiyallāhu ʿanhum).
His love is for the sake of Allāh, and his hatred is for the sake of Allāh; he gives for the sake of Allāh and he withholds for the sake of Allāh. His allegiance and disavowal are governed by the truth—not by false partisanship, personalities or group affiliation.
We ask Allāh to keep us steadfast.

Partisanship and the Corruption of Love and Hate.
From the most destructive and dangerous of innovations in this era is that which has been introduced into the arena of daʿwah by the innovated parties and groups.
Their love, hate and da’wah are not for the sake of Allāh (the Most High). Instead, their call is to their group or party, to their political ideology, their Sufī path and shaikh whose word is accepted without question; even if it opposes the textual evidences.
So, the love and hate of the people of innovation are not based upon the Qur’ān and Sunnah, nor upon the sound ʿAqīdah, Tawhīd and Manhaj.
This tahazzub (partisanship) is something which Allāh (the Most High) has rebuked and condemned in many places throughout His Book; and it is clearly warned against in the authentic Sunnah.
Allāh (the Most High) has commanded the believers to hold fast to His Rope, to be united upon that, and not to divide. Therefore, our love, hatred, allegiance and disavowal must be founded upon the truth—upon adherence to the Book and Sunnah.
If a person opposes the ʿAqīdah of Ahlus-Sunnah, then we reject his opposition and distance ourselves from it; we correct him and call him (and his followers) to rectify their mistakes, and return to the truth. Likewise, if he opposes the Sunnah and the way of the Sahābah, then we reject that opposition, we correct it, and if he does not rectify his opposition—we distance ourselves from him in accordance to what is known from the methodology of the early Salaf.
And if an innovator repents from his innovation, abandons his opposition to the truth, rectifies and clarifies—and thereafter holds fast to the Book and Sunnah upon the way of the Sahābah (radiyallāhu ʿanhum), then our hatred of him on account of his innovation is replaced with love for him on account of his repentance and adherence to the truth.
This demonstrates that our displeasure was never based upon personal reasons, nor upon race, nationality, tribe, wealth, prosperity or poverty. Rather, our love and hatred of people is based upon their adherence to, or distance from, the Kitāb and the Sunnah.
The partisan groups do not follow these principles because their love and hatred are based upon their sect, group, party or shaikh. Their allegiance and enmity revolve around their innovated principles, elevated personalities and partisan affiliations.
The Ashāʿirah and the Deobandiyyah, for example, hate, oppose and refute those who affirm that Allāh is above the seven heavens, over His Throne, separate and distinct from His creation, exalted and high above them—this is despite the fact that this belief is established in the Qur’ān and Sunnah—and it was the belief of the Prophet (sallallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) and his Companions.
These innovated groups and parties hold onto principles which oppose the Kitāb, the Sunnah and the way of the Sahābah, and they establish al-walāʾ wal-barāʾ (allegiance and disavowal) upon these innovated principles.
Look, for example, at al-Ikhwān al-Muslimūn: Despite their principles and actions being in opposition to the Book and Sunnah; their followers will nevertheless oppose and fight against those who refute their principles, call them to rectify their errors and to follow the Book and Sunnah.
The same is the case with the Tablīghī Jamāʿah and the Sufis, whose love and hatred are tied to their party, their shaikhs, their veneration of saints and their innovated forms of dhikr.
This is the state of the people of bidʿah and hizbiyyah. Their allegiance and enmity revolve around their innovations and partisan principles—not around the truth revealed by Allāh.
However, this is not the way of the Sunni (Salafi): the one whom Allāh guides to the truth; the one into whose heart Allāh places the light of guidance—so he accepts the truth, submits to it and abandons falsehood.
When a person says, “I love the Salafis and hate Ahlul-Bidʿah,” this does not mean that he loves everyone who merely claims to be upon the Sunnah—for those who make such claims are many.
Rather, loving the Salafis means loving the believers who adhere to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ, and who hold firmly to the understanding of the Companions (radiyallāhu ʿanhum).
It means loving those whose ʿAqīdah is sound, whose Manhaj is upright, and who cling firmly to the Sunnah and understand the Religion in accordance with the understanding of the Companions (radiyallāhu ʿanhum).
Likewise, hating Ahlul-Bidʿah means disliking those who corrupt the ʿAqīdah and Tawḥīd, oppose the Sunnah, and depart from the way of the Companions (radiyallāhu ʿanhum).
It is therefore necessary to distinguish the claims of Ahlul-Bidʿah from the reality of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah. These titles are not merely terms that people use for themselves; rather, they carry meanings and realities which must be understood.
To love Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah is to love those who are truly upon the Madhhab of the Salaf—the Madhhab of Ahlul-Ḥadīth—and to support them upon the truth.
And hatred of Ahlul-Bidʿah is not based upon personal enmity, worldly disputes, or matters of the Dunyā. Rather, it is hatred of the falsehood and misguidance that they have introduced into the Religion.
Abu Khadeejah.

Shaykh Rabee rahimahullah used to say :
احترم عقلك — Respect your own intellect.
And we ask you:
— What did YOUR knowledge do?!
— Where is the action upon it?!
— Where is the Quraan (you seem to be learned) gone?!
— WHERE ARE THE SALAFI PRINCIPLES gone?!
— …unlawful glances & what about UNLAWFUL TABDII by arafaat @Arafatbinhassan ?! Is it allowed?!
— Where is your Walaa&Baraa? For whom is it?! For people praising worthless Ahlul-bidaa & Haddadis from egypt and getting involved in Khuruuj?
Indeed Kufr has many paths and avenues…
Putting (personal) relation above the principles of justice, Allah has commanded, might be one example.
Shaykh Rabee rahimahullah about the fanatics of bin Hadi: أخشى عليهم الردة
@fawaidwaqawaid@AbuMuadhTaqweem He himself doesnt follow the advices of the major scholars who adviced him and others to go back so SPUBs due to their adherence to the kitaab and sunnah.
Later on came people trying to ruin all of that by speech without proofs at all.
وَاللَّهُ يَكْتُبُ مَا يُبَيِّتُونَ
Miskin says, “just to name a few.”
This is the problem: names, name-dropping, names… You actually have nothing to offer, @AbuMuadhTaqweem.
Imām Aḥmad رحمه الله said:
صاحب الحديث عندنا من يستعمل الحديث
“The companion of Hadeeth, according to us, is the one who acts upon the Hadeeth.”
Rather, what we see from you is evil conduct and manners, as has been reported mutawaatir from various cities in your OWN COUNTRY about you! You contradict the KNOWLEDGE and its people even in your own land, where you live.
And the scholars, such as Sheikh Rabi rahimahullah, told you to return to them.
Don’t you remember when you asked him??
Rather, the scholars described those who turn away from Spubs to be deviated, not because of names, but because of the principles they adhere to!
Your name-dropping is clear. We are not to delude @AbuMuadhTaqweem.
Return back, for indeed it is better to stick to Salafi-Principles rather than name-dropping and showing off with your umrahs and how nice you are.
Measure yourself with the Salaf, not with the camera you film yourself.
والعاجز من أتبع نفسه هواها و تمنى …إلخ
One of our @InkPotArabic ‘Umrah group brothers with us on the current trip had the opportunity to briefly meet with Shaikh Sālih al-Fawzān حفظه الله تعالى today at his masjid.
This is from the benefits of visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; to meet with & benefit from our Scholars—the likes of the Muftī Shaikh Sālih al-Fawzān himself, as well as Shaikh ‘Abdul Muhsin al-‘Abbād, and Shaikh ‘Abdullāh al-Bukhārī just to name a few.
Ahlus-Sunnah, the Salafiyyūn, are nurtured upon respecting & honouring the people of knowledge, recognising their due status, and returning to & benefitting from them—unlike those who harbour malice & hatred against them, and perhaps even perceive themselves as better than them, and nurture others upon such disgraceful & despicable ways, may Allāh protect us.
People who we once considered to be upright ended up misguided in their ways, and so always ask Allāh the One who turns the hearts of the people to keep your heart firm upon his religion.
May Allāh preserve our Scholars, and allow us to continue benefitting from them, and may He foil the plots of those filled with envy & malice who desire to see their downfall.
By sticking to the scholars here in specific,
Shaykh Rabi himself said about SPUBS @SalafiPubs :
So he said, after seeking aid from Allāh:
“First: It is upon them not to become sad, and not to consider the attack and revilement upon them to be something strange, because this is the [reality of the] situation from the earliest times of the Salaf to this era of ours.
Do they not see how Ahl al-Bidaʿ and the deviants waged war against Ibn Taymiyyah with lies and fabrications? Do they not see how they assaulted Imām Aḥmad and made his blood lawful? Do they not see in our time how much revilement there is upon Imām al-Albānī and Ibn Bāz?
And recently, do they not see the mighty revilements, lies and fabrications against Rabīʿ bin Hādī, in which they never tire of fabricating [such lies against him]? Until they said that he is an agent, and an advisor to the amīr of Makkah, and I do not even know the appearance [i.e. the face] of this amīr, I do not even know it!!
So they [Maktabah Salafiyyah] must not be grieved and anxious, and let them know that those who are attacking them, they are worse [themselves] than what they describe them with, they are the khulūf of the khulūf, because they [the brothers at Maktabah Salafiyyah] love the mashāyikh upon the Sunnah and the truth.
And mashāyikh are men, it is necessary to explain their errors with truth and for the truth, there is no compromise in the religion. And also because the tie of loyalty and disloyalty to them [the biased partisans] is personalities, not the truth and love of the people of truth.
So I advise my sons to explain the errors only, and to refute them with the Book, the Sunnah and with the speech of the leading scholars who are deeply-grounded in knowledge, and that they not be concerned with anything else. So long as they are on the truth, without swerving from it or oppressing [anyone].”

So ANYONE who claims otherwise let him bring clear cut proofs for his claim. Otherwise his claim is rejected. This is CLARITY.
