As a little kid, I taught myself using their cassette tapes and CD’s.

I couldn’t read or speak Arabic. But I fell in love with the Quran because of them.

This morning, during our morning training session, we came across the body of this man lying in a field.

Preliminary reports indicate that he was a notorious criminal in the community. He and his gang were known for terrorizing residents through robbery and theft, and they would not hesitate to take a person's life even over a ₦50,000 mobile phone.

Apparently, a robbery operation went wrong, and the victims sent him to meet his ancestors before dumping his body on our football field.

What frightened me the most was seeing how young children gathered around the corpse, staring at it without any sign of fear. This is a worrying signal for the neighbourhood. The fact that children are no longer afraid to stand and watch the body of a killed person shows how desensitized their hearts are becoming.

Honestly, it is important for society to take proactive measures regarding the mindset and moral development of young children.

May Allah forgive the deceased Muslims among us, have mercy on them, and grant us all a good ending when our time comes. Ameen.

Nihal, a Junior Secondary School student at St. Louis Secondary School, allegedly arrived late for prayers and was punished. According to some Social media accounts claim she informed those punishing her that she suffered from asthma and a heart condition. It was further alleged that she was ordered to continue the punishment, remained kneeling for an extended period, collapsed, and later d!ed.
