Last week, COP28 UAE-G20 Brazil Presidency hosted the first joint event between a COP Presidency-G20 partnership, representing significant alignment between the G20 and COP agendas on sustainable finance, with Brazil being the sixth G20 country to endorse the Framework.

On the sidelines of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Brazil, COP28 Director General Majid Al Suwaidi met with finance ministers, government officials, leaders of international financial institutions, and civil society from Italy, Spain, and India.

These discussions focused on advancing the implementation of the COP28 Global Climate Finance Framework principles to:
* Deliver collective action
* Create opportunities for all
* Delivering at Scale
