OVERTIME

USD got to midfield but couldn’t get in FG range.

20-all.

Great UND comeback. See how #GoYotes respond

[Trey Houchin @houchin5_trey]

UND FG to TIE it at 20-all here in Vermillion. Jerry Kaminski delivered a couple of big conversions to get in field goal range for Kenten Laughman from 45 yards out. USD has 2 timeouts and 50 seconds left.

[Zach Borg @IceBorg]

Clutch conversion and 46 yard field goal.

20-all.

USD all less than a minute left

After a couple incomplete passes it’s 4th and 10 for UND

Pierre runs for 5

UND burns last timeout.

4th and 1 for USD at the 40 but USD is challenging

1:48 to go

20-17 #GoYotes lead

So you wanna be a head coach? What ya do here if it’s 4th and 1

#NSIC FINAL: Augustana 45, Southwest Minnesota State 0.

Augustana combines for four rushing touchdowns in the shutout win over the Mustangs. Breylon Blount with two. The Vikings' defense forced five turnovers in the contest. Camron Maciejewski with 12 tackles to lead the D.

[Zach Borg @IceBorg]

The natives are not happy with the officiating to put it mildly

Doubt Matt Vitzthum and USD are either

[Trey Houchin @houchin5_trey]

North Dakota TD.

Jerry Kaminski connected with Deng Deng for a 23-yard completion to get it to the 1-yard line, as Matt Lawson punches it in.

USD was flagged for a roughing the passer on 3rd and long that would have got them off the field, but UND capitalizes to make things very interesting. Yotes need a couple first downs to ice this one, but only have two this entire second half.

USD 20, UND 17. 3:57 left in Q4.

[Sam Herder @SamHerderFCS]

Halftime in a ranked #FCS matchup:

No. 22 Weber State leads 27-17 at No. 3 Montana State

Both defenses are getting gashed in another Big Sky shootout. Weber has had some key plays on special teams, including a KR for a TD, recovering a fumble to set up a FG, and blocking a FG before halftime

[Zach Borg @IceBorg]

Reminiscent of last year’s USD-UND game

Coyotes broke out to a big early lead. Hawks worked their way back into it. They probably felt like they ran out of time. See if that script plays out again

#GoYotes

[Trey Houchin @houchin5_trey]

End of Q3. USD 20, North Dakota 10.

Yotes have the ball on their own 42 2nd and 12 coming out of the break.

If anyone is interested in getting paid to go to high school games let me know. I need camera operators and game producers in the Sioux Falls area. Not a full-time opportunity, but easy for a side job.

[Zach Borg @IceBorg]

Just a hunch but Goering is going to see the ball A LOT moving forward

At the Bob now for the second half between USF and Minot State. Cougars lead 24-14 to start the third.
#NSIC

[Trey Houchin @houchin5_trey]

End of 1st half. USD up 20-3 over UND.

Yotes had 217 total yards to UND’s 133. Modrzewski went 10-for-13 passing with 131 yards and a TD. Brayden White with 71 receiving yards on 4 catches and Charles Pierre Jr. has 42 rushing yards on 8 carries

UND went 0-for-5 on 3rd down with two fumbles from Jerry Kaminski.

[Zach Borg @IceBorg]

END 1: #8 USD leads #6 UND 17-0.

They’ve outgained the Fighting Hawks 153-35.

If you didn’t see that #GoYotes first quarter I think Roddy Piper kinda sums it up

[Zach Borg @IceBorg]

Refs reviewed this.

It was a short review.

Wow

#GoYotes

[Trey Houchin @houchin5_trey]

USD TD. The Yotes are rolling early.

Tysen Boze snags a one-hander in the back of the end zone from 4 yards out on the throw from Modrzewski. What a catch.

USD 17, North Dakota 0. 1:32 left in Q1.

[Zach Borg @IceBorg]

We aren’t making enough of how good the backup QB run package is with Proctor at USD. It’s a legit weapon

#GoYotes

[Trey Houchin @houchin5_trey]

USD TD.

After a quick stop, Coyotes march right down the field again. This time, Austyn Modrzewski connected with Brayden White for a 40-yard pass and then Jackson Proctor comes in and scores from 4 yards out on the ground.

USD 10, North Dakota 0. 4:34 left in Q1.

[Trey Houchin @houchin5_trey]

USD FG.

Coyotes marched right down the field but stall out, as Bohdie Ing drills it from 47 yards out.

USD 3, North Dakota 0. 10:48 left in Q1.
