@CR2SE25@PaulTassi All Marathon has to do is rotate schema weapons with in rotation weapon every season, new shell every season and call it a day. The game loop is perfectly fine with the way its done.
@CH0PPENHEIMER Just like Cloak, it was clearly a design issue and they can't really do anything about it now. Especially with how much content they have pre-made.
@sirdoom34 But wouldn't that validate Sony's decision to cut Destiny for Marathon success; and that would imply Marathon gets more resources than a D3?
@GameOverThirty What did I expect to happen? Did they really think releasing a dungeon or raid every couple months for years would be enough? They haven't added anything new other than subclasses and just recently new weap9n types.
No player housing, no tradable items, no real clans, nothing.
@QuiteShallow Warframe doesn't have a 'endgame' because the endgame is just your mastery rank. Which in term... means you are forced to play all the content in the game. Even with decent time gated activities that prevent players from burning out.
@MacticsG1 My only guess is that each season the artifact was tuned 'design wise' for the season. I could be very wrong, but I don't think its as simple as swapping the artifact out. On the contrary if it works like that, I'm 100% down with this.
@isolatedrook Edge of Fate was terrible. Im not playing a "Star Wars" dlc either. Final shape was a good end point and if they announced a D3 I would've pre-ordered on the spot.
@tapisbadatgames Wouldn't say the game is focused around being hard, its just more about "mastering" every piece of equipment to raise your mastery rank, so everything is meant to be mostly fun.

For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
Weβre proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.
@iamCodexxx God forbid a tank in this game feels like a tank and has PRESENCE.
The entire tank roster genuinely has no real threat, maybe besides Emma, that can genuinely check players.
