Bruce Miller @UCSF: “I’m an optimist. In the next 2 years, I hope and believe that we will have effective disease-modifying therapies for the genetic forms of FTD.” #icftd2018#hopefor2020#endFTD
A fantastic end to #icftd2018! Thank you to all the speakers, delegates, organisers and of course the patients and their families without whom this important research wouldn’t be possible. #endFTD@Olivier_Piguet

Chiadi Onyike @JohnsHopkins: “My hopes: that we can develop biomarkers that will allow us to make an affirmative diagnosis, & for refinements in clinical measurements, esp. for the transition from asymptomatic to symptomatic in mutation carriers… #icftd2018#hopefor2020
The third day of @Icftd2018#icftd2018 - (nearly) last but certainly not least the great @charl_marshall highlighting the impaired emotional processing in FTD
Dr Dennis Dickson presents clinicopathological comparisons of GRN/C9orf72 - suggests greater microglial dysfunction in FTD-GRN. Also, FTD-GRN typically presented with asymmetric clinical features and atrophy while C9 often had symmetry in clinical features and atrophy #icftd2018
