One time, when my parents still lived in Ikeja, I came back from Abuja and I wanted to take airport taxi to the house, and they were calling N30k. MM1 to my house is not more thsn 10 mins. I was so pissed, I didn't even negotiate. I just turned around, and the man was asking me to negotiate. I told him not to worry.

I walked home. Airport waka my brother and I use to stretch our legs on random evenings, is what I should pay N30k for. I only had one small box that was a carry-on luggage and a back pack, so it was a convenient decision.

Walked to the end of the road, took the over head bridge, crossed the railway line and walked down to underbridge and continued walking under the familar sight of the city tikl I got home.
