For all the crazies that want to begin the process of handing Texas over to the party that destroyed California, don’t worry - I’m not saying Talarico doesn’t have a chance.

He does - and it’s better than most in the past 32 years since it last happened. It’s also only the 2nd GOP presidential midterm in that span not held under Bush and his TX roots.

A win for Talarico would require every one of the following elements:

*5% better than O’Rourke in 15 key counties with 2018 turnout share of previous presidential met

*-5% margin from Trump/Cruz with turnout of red counties lowered by average of 2018/2022 presidential differential

*Rio Grande Valley counties back to 2020 presidential margins
*flip of Collin County

*+330,000 raw margin over O’Rourke in Dallas, Harris, Travis, Bexar Counties

*Hammering O’Rourke’s 100k margin in El Paso County, where he isn’t from

That would give him the state by about 20,000 votes.

He essentially needs 2014 GOP turnout to happen, which won’t since every R in Texas will come out to vote to spite all these lies.

Talarico’s CEILING appears to be less than 1%. 6% would mean a margin of 600,000 votes, and polls suggesting that are so far out of touch with reality that the only logical conclusion would be to believe there is a turnout depression psyop and betting market fixing play happening.
